I have a strong feeling that Surge’s Volt Bolt will be like an electric version of Jungle Run.
As for Power Surge, it’s more than likely going to be a chargeable projectile like Rusty’s Bullet Punch. The datamine shows it’ll have 3 different levels based on how long it’s charged and I think what type of projectile you use might even change based on what level it’s at.
Having her be a charge focused runner would perfectly fit Surge’s whole electrokinesis shtick.
Surge not having a unique trap of her own might just mean that she’ll probably have either Zap Trap or Storm Cloud as her trap. I’m hoping it’s Storm Cloud because Zap Trap has become a huge problem since it was last buffed.
Surge could also be a character like Tangle and Warlock and actually have two of Power Surge as both her projectile and trap since she lacks a separate trap in her data files.
If this is the case, the charge levels of Power Surge could have wildly different properties between each other, giving Surge a much wider variety of moves to use in a match compared to the rest of the roster.
If that last one I said turns out to be real, Surge will more than likely be a challenger and she might end up being an absolute menace on the track.
Edit update:
The Surge event is next after the SSilv Vs SCS event and holy crap, the last part of my prediction came true.
Surge is like Tangle. She has two of Power Surge and they’re a damaging mini-boost that regains duration if you hit someone with it.
She has Sonic/Shadow level stats (10 | 9 | 5) with a Tangle-like item kit that’s all electric damage.
Surge is GONNA BE A MENACE!!

I don't think Surge will be special. They seems to only reserve that for skins and variants whereas Surge is a new character entirely.
