When TH-cam becomes boring, I always come back to this video and end up feeling inspired again. I can't explain why.

I'd rather watch people having a casual conversation about real things than doing crazy professional videos/films/tikols. I bet a lot more of us do too.
totally it seems like every single youtuber is doing the same type of video nowadays. (tags, q&a's other scripted stuff)

Chris, I know you feel like you have to keep up with the other youtubers who have developed their own "brands" and stuff, but let me tell you that your audience DOES NOT CARE ABOUT THAT. We've subscribed to you because of the type of videos YOU make and the personality that YOU display. If we want youtubers that make more serious videos, then we'll subscribe to them too, but that doesn't mean that we want you to turn into a carbon copy of every other youtuber. Your videos are so unique, and that's why you've always been my favorite. You're so clever and funny in a way that other youtubers aren't.
TH-cam is TH-cam. It can be used for short films, for pseudo television programs etc. But vlogging is still what I love the most, it has to be amateurish but *spontaneus* and interactive to a certain extent. It's not like that anymore.
While I can appreciate the effort put in some videos, I'm guilty of really gettin a kick out of this kind of youtube aesthetic: unfortunate framing, sudden jump cuts, imperfect editing, bad lightning, strange unwanted noises etc. random topics.
I like the fact that I can picture you before and after this video, as human beings living in a world similar to mine. I don't need that from Hollywood or TV, but I need that from YT.
So: 1. these videos are great, stop worrying.
2. I think it's cool that you didn't go to vidcon/won't go to sitc. I don't like them :D

I think all interviews, even for movie releases, should begin with the person being interviewed entering the room in a flurry complaining about how hard it was to get it in.
I love how your vlogs are unplanned! You're so naturally funny you don't need to do anything really special for a good video.

Chris, I don't think you need to worry so much. Sure, some people will watch this because of your old videos, or because they're a little bit in love with you. haha But I feel like you're being yourself and just talking at the camera makes some of us come back for that. I'm travelling alone right now and these kinds of videos make me feel like I'm a part of a conversation and less alone, so it's nice. Keep on :)

I really loved this. (Also, Jimmy sort of looks like PJ from certain angles.) I think we can gather that Chris only hangs out with good looking boys. I can't complain.
I "spontaniously" am moving to Amsterdam in 6 months. I booked my flights and then realized I was moving all the way across the world (from Canada) in less than half a year so that's pretty quick for me

You'll have a blast - i visited there a couple of times in the 90's and it's wonderful. Real freedom unlike America's pseudo-freedom.

I love this type of video. It's natural and in the end, hilarious. I like the idea of you just inviting someone over and talking to them over a cup of coffee. Can't wait for the next video!

This format is really nice. It reminded me of Jamiesface's How to Vlog serie (which is great btw, for the people reading this comment, i highly recommend it). Speaking of Jamie, that would be great to have him in one of those videos. You're both quite sarcastic and good comedians. I'd love to see that !

hi Chris, I've been watching your videos for years! Your recent videos, in my opinion, are very honest which I really enjoy. I feel like for the first time on TH-cam I've seen something that I can really connect with. Your struggles, whether recent or long-time, are heartbreaking but at the same time are very relatable. The way you talk about how failing can help you succeed is extremely inspiring. I sincerely hope you feel better soon. :)

This is casual and genuine and funny, I prefer that to sponsored, massively edited, branded, scripted videos :)

As much as I enjoy sketches and intentional silliness, I get much more out of people casually carrying on a conversation. I found it very interesting gaining some insight into your individual personality since I already like you so much as an entertainer.

All those brands, ticle sequences, t shirts, I think I'm immune to them now. Watching two of my favourite good old youtubers having a meaningless-looking chat with a cup of coffee used to be what I wanted from youtube. Happy to realise that.
thanks for that. I really enjoyed how real this was. Sometimes i subscribe to people cuz theres just something about them that i can relate to. Sometimes the flashy jump scenes and stuff just reminds me how untalented i am at school and going to work. This was nice to see you being an actual person just trying to figure stuff out. :)

I mean, I don't think that youtube should be about making really high-quality sketches and mini movies and stuff like that. My videos are not fancy-like at all. I really like what you do Chris, it's entertaining to me and others, and I don't think that you should worry about how other youtubers are doing and should worry about what you are doing and what you want to do. :)

I think this was my favorite daily vid so far. I love just listening to friends talk sometimes. I like just listening to you being funny, but this was like x2. Also this sounds SUPER weird but i have no other way of phrasing it so
I love how going to Amsterdam turned into this complex scenario that just kept going! That was hilarious!

Actually this is probably my new favourite video. :) I like just watching you guys talk. So nice and relaxed and definitely like the old days :) I miss the old TH-cam sometimes. And you're completely right, YT has changed a lot in regard to content and production value and often it really is all about branding, but I'm glad that you two are still sticking to the casual "taking the piss out of things" type of videos. :D

This really is one of my favorite videos.
I liked how you basically said in the nicest way possible that the Q&A questions were shit. I very rarely ask a question in these things because I usually don't have anything to ask, but it feels like sometimes people ask the most random shit just to flood the hashtag and get noticed. I guess the most interesting Q&As end up being the well prepared ones, like PJ's for instance. Anyway, I quite liked the format of this video :)
