Last year, I was living in Japan, I used to roam the streets of Shinjuku, Shibuya, and Ikebukuro late at night, and just walk around and admire the surroundings, the smell of the food, the laughs of people, meanwhile listening to this music in my headphones, and I tell you, it truly was a vibe.
I recognised the melody of that 'Bamboo forest' beat. It's a song that my Chinese dad used to play when I was younger. When I heard it, it really made me think back to the good old days... It's nice to hear an instrumental adaptation of that song though. Very nice

I can't wait until Japan opens its borders to American tourism again, even though I'm sure the break from all of us idiots has been lovely. I live in a touristy location high in the mountains in Colorado, and I certainly miss the peaceful stillness of town during quarantine when no one was allowed to visit. Tourism does so much damage to our small ranching/ski town culture, to our environment, and our economy. As someone who loves to travel but understands the impact it can have on other communities, I hope to be one of the good ones. ❤️

k but the art and music inspired me so much to the point where I'm making a mini manga rn. it's going to be set in ancient japan the main character a male. and I don't wanna say much but let's just say there's a secret society of spirts who wear black kimonos and each " spirt" has some type of masks each having a different animal to represent them never showing there face. and are 24/7 having a forever lasting festival none are able to talk in the human world being invisible to everyone only the people they are meant to guide taking forms as these ancient animals leading them to fulfill their life and pass on moving to the world of spirts (they only show up to the humans who are having hard times like depression and don't want anything to do with this life) but yeah I don't wanna spoil it but I just want to make in cause I'm bored in quarantine :p

samples can vary. i've heard german in some. although the very first track is acc a remix of a chinese song. one i think is pretty well known? searching bamboo flute on youtube will give you the original.
i'm guessing the person who remixed it was japanese? maybe uploader didn't know? either way it's nice.

k but the art and music inspired me so much to the point where I'm making a mini manga rn. it's going to be set in ancient japan the main character a male. and I don't wanna say much but let's just say there's a secret society of spirts who wear black kimonos and each " spirt" has some type of masks each having a different animal to represent them never showing there face. and are 24/7 having a forever lasting festival none are able to talk in the human world being invisible to everyone only the people they are meant to guide taking forms as these ancient animals leading them to fulfill their life and pass on moving to the world of spirts (they only show up to the humans who are having hard times like depression and don't want anything to do with this life) but yeah I don't wanna spoil it but I just want to make in cause I'm bored in quarantine :p

I remember every afternoon, after school, cycling around town. I discovered a place every day. The day before the world collapsed because of the pandemic, I took my last walk. I always watched the sunset while eating some chips and drinking a juice. All of this while hearing this mix. That time will never come back.
