Oh wow. Congratulations! That’s so encouraging
way to go
I’m in my 50s. I was in your shoes 5 years ago. Although I’m not debt free, I’m in a MUCH BETTER place now. AND YOU WILL BE TOO. Just be consistent, discipline, sacrifice, & patient.
Thank you so much! I really needed to hear that❤️
I’m not sure who you’re talking to.
You look lovely btw, you certainly don't look in your 50's!
@@lodersracing thank you 🙏🏽

You can do this. I'm 69, for the first time my husband & I are debt free. If we can do it, you can!!
That’s so encouraging. Thank you so much ❤️🙏🏽
yes!!!!!!
I'm 59. My husband passed a way a few years back which threw me in debt. Losing his income and working on only mine...was eye opening. Get life insurance people!! Anyway, I was almost in 76,000 debt which also included his funeral. I've been working hard at it and though I'm not debt free I'm much better. It takes time, get a second job and hussle the best you can.
Sorry to hear about your loss ❤️🙏
You got this. I started my debt free journey at 50 and was able to retire at 60 completely debt free. It is very possible to achieve.
Wowwww!! That is awesome and very encouraging. Thank you so much for sharing ❤️
I'm praying this works for me!. This is awesome..

I'm 49 and what saved me from being broke is buying a condo, which has over 150k in equity, instead of renting and automatic 401k deductions.
For younger people, just contribute to your 401k as it's harder to get your hands on that money.
I appreciate your transparency! It makes me not feel so alone in this world.
❤️🙏
this is exactly what we need it not all the let me stuff 5,000 but the reality that things happen
I finally became debt free after busting my butt for years - only to get into again twice more. My scared straight moment was losing a job at age 52 and having NO savings besides some retirement. I managed to save $10k in 2 years being scared straight. You will do it I can tell. I appreciate your honesty!
Thank you so much for sharing your story. 🙏🏽❤️
You just popped up on my page and I want to tell you, you can do this. I’m 68 and have had to start over many times in my life. Trust in God and don’t worry, you got this.❤

I have my bill account and my high yield savings account.. I’m not a 0 base budgeter.. .. I have my $1000 e my regency fund and I add a set amount to it monthly.. I set this amount and I will not raise it…. Because savings is just that… keeping a buffer in my bill acct has prevented me from going in my savings account (emergency fund) and I’m disabled from birth on social security).. you got this , but what I have noticed is people try to do too many savings at one time.. we can’t if you don’t have some type of emergency fund in place or a buffer in your main acct.. no matter your income…
@@donnamcclenton7340 that’s so true. That’s why I’m mainly focusing on my emergency fund. The accounts are my bills. Thanks so much for your encouraging words. I really appreciate it

Dudet I'm also your age 46 and don't have more then 400 . I'm only 87 bucks away from being dept free though it took me 6 years to pay off a small loan 😂😂. It really does suck brother I've lost everything because of everything going on i work since i was 13 with nothing to show for it but a bad back and everyone elses headaches that have now became apart of mine . Keep your head up you'll be ok sister good things are coming in 2025 !
Thank you for sharing ❤️
True. Helping out others emergency can wipe you out.
I know how you feel. I've fallen a few times. The key for me was treating each savings goals as if it doesn't exist except what is was assigned for. Not for family, friends trips, handbags or someone else problems. Just be an ear when people tell you their problem but don't offer. Just tell them your are working with a financial advisor and your budget doesn't have room for that. It actually works. Put your oxygen mask on first before anyone else. I'm doing my saving challenge as well. We will all get there.
Amen. Great advice
Definitely recommend following Dave Ramsey. Following his steps, as he lays them out, has my family debt free!

I think kids should be involved with finances. It should be kept age appropriate for sure , and kids shouldn’t be burdened or stressed by finances. Children have to be prepared and have financial education in order to make smart money choices when they are out on their own. Young kids shouldn’t hear the ‘ I don’t know how we are going to make rent’ discussion but I think the ‘’We have $ 25 budgeted for school supplies’ so you can’t get the new sparkling backpack you can use last years backpack would be appropriate.
I totally agree. Thank you ❤️

@@BaileysBudget Ofc! Her video on "When cash stuffing doesn't work: Do this" gave an amazing alternative for saving that is now her preferred method for stuffing! 🥰
I've always been careful with credit card debt but at 55 I zeroed out my savings and IRA accounts to pay off my house. At that point my wife and I had no debt. I'm turning 68 next month and have a reasonable emergency savings account and a couple of investment accounts. I'll be working until I'm 75, if I'm able, but should then be able to live on SS and passive income (CD interest and stock dividends). Get control of your debt and you can build savings.
Thank you so much. That was great advice.
Replying on stocks and dividends is life destroying. A pension or large 401k was your only hope.
This was inspirational as someone who is trying to create an emergency fund myself . Goodluck on your journey 💗

Here is my question: Uber and Lyft are not guaranteed steady income. Why not try and get a "9 to 5" that offers a steady paycheck and benefits? I don't know your situation, but I'm just wondering. Thank you.
I have been doing Uber and Lyft for years. We make a lot of money with it. I have a business that does not allow me to have a 9-5. I make way more than I would with a 9-5 which also is not dependable. I only do Uber and Lyft because my business is sometimes slow during some months. I can tell you that I make more than I ever have with a 9-5.
