“I Give Unto You Weakness” | An Interview with Jim Kasen

- Jim Kasen has degrees in Organ Performance and Interpersonal Communications from Brigham Young University, a Master of Social Work from the University of Utah, and a Masters in Choral Conducting from BYU. He is a licensed social worker, recently retired as Director of University Relations at BYU, and is the author of the book To Belong to Him.
Jim first served as a branch president in the Philippines Manila Mission, and has served in branch presidencies at the Provo Missionary Training Center, in elders quorum presidencies, in a bishopric, four times as a high councilor, and as a music director, choir director, and organist many times on the ward and stake levels. He has also served on the Church Music Committee, as a guest organist at Temple Square, a member of the Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square, and in many other assignments such as directing choirs for general conference and on the hymnal submission review sub-committee.

This is so beautiful so far. I have to save it and watch the rest tonight but I'm looking forward to it. So far everything this wonderful brother has said is exactly how I feel deeply in myheart for my lgbtq brothers and sisters and I look forward to hearing what else he has to say on the subject! Ps- life stories are kind of my ' thing ' ... my mother started a journal for me the day she found out she was pregnant with me- i begged to take over when I turned 8 - and I'm 42 now - and i have a record of my life and of all the trauma, trials, temptations and tribulation- but i also have a record of all of the many miracles and the daily tender mercies that heavenly father has so generously blessed me with.
I feel very strongly that everyone has a unique and important life story and that we are so much llstronger when we share our lllllllllll

Well my phone is going to be moody today I guess! 😂 I'm looking forward to reading your book and I'm very impressed that you were able to gather your life stories and write and publish a book! I'm slowly working on getting my journals digitized and organized into a book for my posterity although I've been strongly prompted to get my journals digitized and organized into a book-i have a feeling tho that heavenly father going to ask me to not only share it with my posterity but share it with the would. Yikes! So thank you for course and your good example !

Amen to NO administrators!!! Bishops now days DON'T want to be Shephards!! For example, our bishop is an attorney who just happens to be a bishop instead of being a bishop who happens to be an attorney soooooo sad😭
