Gorgeous! Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful homage to the greatest artist of all time, Michelangelo. You are so talented and masterful. God bless you.
Thank you!! Keep in mind that Michelangelo has used a completely different technique from mine: gresy tempera on wooden panel. He also made his own paint out of crushed pigments and greasy solvents and most of all he designed the drawing, which is the most important and difficult part of the work!
Hi Jessica! I'm just starting to upload new videos on this channel. I posted a new one today and new videos are going to come out every week from now on! Yayyy 🥰
Grazie
hello.. first of all the work you made was just amazing. its beautiful. your a master. my quesiton is. you created a verdaccio on the skin tone? very light i suppose. Is this right?
Thank you! I've painted a grisaille (monochrome) underpainting for the flesh of the main subjects as you see in the first bit where I'm painting the face of the Madonna. Then glazed with a thin layer here and/or repainted with color there, just to make the underpaint work with the above layer. The garments and background are mostly done alla prima!
Thank you very much!! It's very difficult to stretch a round canvas, the bigger the harder it is to get it smooth and stretched! I had it made from a local professionist I know and he did an excellent job!
Hi! I've used Sennelier, Fragonard, Lukas and Maimeri oil paints. I didn't glaze it but I've used safflower oil as a medium and it naturally leaves a "soft glossy" effect to the paint.
Hi! Thanks a lot! I don't speak french so I hope you don't mind if I answer in english. I've used variable mixtures depending on the skin tone with these colours: titanium white, naples yellow, raw sienna, burnt sienna, raw umber, van dyck brown, cadmium red, cadmium yellow and sap green! Basically most of my pallette :)
That is beautiful! may I ask what color are you using for the shadows? I am having a hard time with that. The 2 dark brown colors in the beginning. Thank you!
I dont understand how you can have only 144 subscribtions. Now you got your 145th... me :) I myself studied art, and the starting point for my art was indeed Michelangelo. One thing jumped into my eyes first. You build up greytones of the flesh first, and later on the fleshtones. It remembers me, what Michelangelo once said : ''The more a painting looks like a sculpture the better in my opinion, and the less it looks like a sculpture, the worse it is, in my opinion.'' With the greytones, and overall the focus light, reflections, and scattered light, it seems for me, you did just that: builded it up like a sculpture. Thats why, in my opinion (espescially the foreground) looks like Michelangelo. The background seems much more 'watery' unfortunately. The shapes are the same, the tones are the same, but i miss the same approach like you did in the foreground (and i dont mean by that you should go more into detail - i know that in the original the background is detailed - because it would distract from the foreground - but the background in the original still has more plasticity in my opinion... its ''stronger'' in the original in my opinion.. in your painting its like watercolor). But dont get me wrong... because the background isnt the main subject; it isnt important. The important thing is: how the painting feels like. And it feels like a Michelangelo. Therefore i hope you dont get my critics as harsh critics - and i thought a long time wether i even should mention it. I have a very big respect to your work , and for me its superb - wonderful ! And like i said: this first video i saw from you was enough for me , to subscribe to you. I hope that says everything !
Hi! Thanks for your comment, I understand what you mean and I agree! I think you understood that I wanted to give more importance to the foreground and that the background looks less refined because it was painted alla prima! :)
Grazie Mille Monica! Creare un tutorial di questo non so se è possibile, ma per insegnare a disegnare e a dipingere aprirò a breve un canale apposta! Si chiama Vale su Tela :)

hello.. first of all the work you made was just amazing. its beautiful. your a master. my quesiton is. you created a verdaccio on the skin tone? very light i suppose. Is this right?
Hi Roberto, the base colour for the skin tones is raw umber + titanium white :)
Magnificent. I am thinking you just painted it in one layer, no glazing at all?
Thank you! I've painted a grisaille (monochrome) underpainting for the flesh of the main subjects as you see in the first bit where I'm painting the face of the Madonna. More painting vids ❤🔥❤🔥
How many hours did it take you to complete all of it? I want to paint a denim jacket like this
Amazing work! Did you stretch your own canvas? And if not where did you get it?
Thank you very much!! It's very difficult to stretch a round canvas, the bigger the harder it is to get it smooth and stretched! I had it made from a local professionist I know and he did an excellent job!
Hi! I'd like to ask what brand of paint you used here? And if you glazed the back with any special primer?
Hi! I've used Sennelier, Fragonard, Lukas and Maimeri oil paints. I didn't glaze it but I've used safflower oil as a medium and it naturally leaves a "soft glossy" effect to the paint.
Hi ! I would like to ask how did you make that skin colour ?
Bonsoir. magnifique travail. j aimerai peindre a fresque des modeles comme ceux ci . quelles couleurs utilisez vous pour la peau ?
