I thought you can just create a website & provide your portfolio & content on there without posting to socials, is that true? I’ve heard some creators don’t do ugc on socials they keep their socials personal & just have their website/portfolio to reach out to brands
that is what i thought too! i didn't want to depend on my insta and tik tok to get clients, however i did make an insta and tiktok for my ugc last night more just as another place for my to post the content i create around my house, and the insta i made to maybe post nice pictures i take! Oh right i made the insta UGC account so that i could reach out to people oninsta because a lot of people are getting their first from insta. that's the only reason i did that! i didn't want to do it from my person account because it would be so confusing as its a mix of my music, dog and pcs of my boyfriend LOL! so i didn't create them as an influencer way but more just so i could put content on there! because on your portfolio you can only put so much
You can do it that way but do you want to limit yourself to outbounds/outreach only? If you have socials, brands can find you because they’re searching on SM platforms. Then you have the chance for DMs and inbounds, in addition to the outbounds you’re doing. We don’t need to have the numbers that influencers do and we don’t have to post for brands on our own accounts, we can use the accounts as another portfolio. Brands will see our social accounts, then click on our link to see our portfolio.
If you prefer getting inbounds from brands and have them reach you instead of the other way around, a social media portfolio can be beneficial to your creator journey.
It depends on what type of content you are shooting (video, photo, ad placement, etc.)!:) The more. you can do and the higher your skills the more you can charge. If everything is on an iPhone it will most likely be well under $1000.
