Thomas Vinterberg is a Danish filmmaker who rose to international attention from co-founding the Dogme 95 movement and contributing the first film to follow its rules, The Celebration (1998). His other films include The Biggest Heroes (1996), It's All About Love (2003), the Lars von Trier penned Dear Wendy (2005), A Man Comes Home (2007) and Submarino (2010).
Thomas premiered his latest film, The Hunt (Mads Mikkelsen, Thomas Bo Larsen), at the 2012 Toronto International Film Festival, where we had the great opportunity to host him at our TIFF studio space, Onsite [at] OCAD U, where we had an early morning chat about The Hunt and almost every other film he's made... especially It's All About Love.
This interview is from our extensive 2012 Toronto International Film Festival coverage and the full length interview was released in March 2013

Wonderful interview! Great questions and conversation. I really loved getting even more insight into some of Vinterberg's films.
Are you insane? The interviewer asked terrific questions and clearly had good insights into the film - just because he looks like a dweeb, it doesn't make him "loathsome" as you put it.
Vinterberg is surprisingly very intellectual and so I am not surprised to learn here that he grew up with intellectual parents.
i disagree! he may not be the most charismatic, or the most entertaining, but he is well-prepared and quite knowledgeable of Vinterberg's films and cinema in general.
This interviewer is loathsome.
