Sarge: It's not about what you pick, it's all about how you use.
lol how bout you do it this is a joke btw
Slightly modified challenge requested by @martelstorm4845 . All pieces of gear/strategems are new player friendly, available at level 3. The original request was a solo helldive full clear with no deaths using only level 1 gear/stratagems, however i'm not sure if this is doable without the eagle airstrike, or maybe requires a really specific map layout. I gave it a few tries but got wrecked each time 🤣 Hope you guys enjoy it anyway!
Would you be able to do kind of a tutorial for a new player on a bot planet at trivial difficulty explaining basically the game (probably text based on screen)? When I was a new diver I watched a lot of videos first before I played so I had an idea about stealth gameplay and how to survive while completing the objective. It took a while but I even did it as a deathless run (then got wrecked the next mission). As a somewhat experienced diver I've gone back and tried to teach some of the new folks the nuances but you would be a far better teacher since you actually know what you're doing.
Part of this also comes from watching a stream from some of the other ghost divers who did a cadet equipment run on helldive, and see stealth come back to the forefront of their gameplay especially at the end where you are usually swarmed by enemies but none really came.
What a masterclass. This one video with no commentary is more informative and useful than the past several I’ve been watching with nonstop talking about “tips and tricks” and analysis of various loadouts. I picked up tons of play strategies that will definitely help my game. Thanks a ton!!
Sarge after removing an automaton's subscription to life: "affirmative"
Damn, Sarge is now doing challanges from viewers? NOICE. Let the man cook.
Now that precision strike has a bit lower cooldown, it really shines in destroying those research stations and defused jammers in a pinch! Great game as always Sarge.
Can OPS destroy downed Jammers? Where do I have to aim it?
@@nsz7977 just near the base of it, I'd say landing one meter away still destroys the jammer. It doesnt bounce stratagems like the detector tower used to (which can also be destroyd by the OPS if landed right next to it).
using the expendable anti tank as a make shift fab destroyer, so smart
The BASIC loadout…literally
This was amazing
This is quite entertaining. I will try this challenge later but of course with casual deaths and with a team :)
That was educational, thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching 😉
I’m starting to believe Sarge is General Brash’s son …. Or could be Brash himself
The king has done it again 🧎
Absolute madman...
This is the kind of loadout I've been running, but I'm struggling on the mid difficulties. Nice run.
Down to the wire and still finds time to pick up the samples. Lol! 👏👏👏👏
23:09 "It's over; but listen, it's not you. It's me."
Also shoulda play on difficulty 3 😄
24.07 that bot got YEETED 🤣🤣🤣
I've been attempting this myself previously on solo runs starting at Dif. 1 and plateaud at Dif. 5. This run should be quite educational.
To be clear, I was running the machine gun sentry, the MG43, the EAT-17, the precision strike, the liberator, amd the starter pistol and grenades. My biggest problem was the walkers coming en mass.
Edit: It was, in fact, educational. I mostly just have a skill issue. XD
Sarge - what happened to the hellbomb you armed at the rogue research station?
Sadly it got destroyed :(
Do you have any tips? Also amazing job
You never seem to get in heavily surrounded situations where you are constantly shot and ragdolled. Is it b/c you avoid enemy groups?
@@rotterdim i believe that proper positioning is key, last thing you want in a deathless run is to get in a loop of never ending patrols and dropships
So sarge if you're doing challenges from viewers now (not really sure if u plan on doing it regularly or not but ig it doesn't hurt to suggest one anyway) a tough but pretty fun one is full clear with throwing knives and grenade pistols only: the only stratagems u can use are resupply, supply backpack (to give enough knives in between resupply to actually do anything) and any stratagems given by the mission for certain objs (hellbomb, sssd etc). Grenade pistol can only be used on fabricators, no side objectives, no enemies (it's fine if ur shooting at a fab, miss and accidentally kill something) and ur kills can only be throwing knives. I can say for sure this challenge is possible and actually quite fun in my opinion
Thanks for the suggestion, might give it a go in the future 😉 Also, i have a few questions. What about factory striders and gunships? Am i allowed to destroy fabs by dropping stratagems at them(supply pods etc)? Is orbital ems strike allowed?
yeeeeah this challenge isn't something that's going to be fun if you're not allowing strats to be used on fabs. tough yes, but fun?
calling in hellbombs for the gunship factories is fine, but the gunship itself you'll rly just have to either get lucky and it get hit by a hellbomb or have a SAM site (I suggest making sure the mission doesn't have gunship patrols). It's also possible but difficult for them to lose u wearing scout armor and eventually despawn. Factory striders are something ur rly gonna have to pray not to see (same for gunships rly) but ur best bet with them is to find a hellbomb somewhere, lure it there and hit the bomb with a knife. Landing hellpods on things is fine as long as it's only a resupply, supply pack, or reinforcement. And EMS strike is not allowed unless u want to do a variation where it is. This challenge is possible, but does require a bit of rng or serious outmaneuvering skills
I will say when I did it I got extremely lucky with side objectives and got only passive ones but even still in previous attempts I was able to clear detector towers, mortars, and even a gunship factory. Then proceeded to accidentally shoot something or run out of lives
I may attempt this, but can i use the jetpack or is it banned too?
POV: You have a new diver onboard and you want to help them feel less intimidated by your veteran status
I don't know how fun this idea is, but if you're interested, here's an idea for a challenge run I have. Try beating any mission of any difficulty of your choosing in an eco-friendly manner. This means no hellbombs, damaged hellbombs, or artillery mini-nukes (because nuclear fallout is highly toxic). You have to use weapons that don't litter the battlefield with casings and whatnot. I'd imagine that this requires energy weapons that don't need reloading (if managed properly) for primary and secondary, and weapons like the Quasar Cannon and Arc Thrower for strat weapons. For strats, I'd imagine that this would mean using orbital strats only since jet aircraft like the Eagle put out some nasty stuff into the air.
@@shadowwolf2608 so something like:
Orbital laser
Orbital precision strike
Quasar cannon
Orbital railcannon strike
Then blitzer and dagger?
What about nades? Do we consider them Eco friendly? 🤣
@@Sarge94 pull out the smoke
@@Sarge94I was imagining Sickle and dagger, but if the blitzer never has to reload and leave magazines and such littering the battlefield, have at it. Not sure what to do about nades though. I presume that the explosive or thermite ones would clean themselves up from the battlefield, so that may work.
I'd like to say that you could use the sentries or backpacks, but then that leaves hellpods in the earth open to debate so they're probably off limits. If you can pick up the throwing knives, then those would also work.
TBC, I never imagined this being a fun challenge since there isn't much that can be considered eco-friendly. It would be an interesting theme for a warbond and new missions/modifiers to say the least.
@@Sarge94hmm, I have to say the throwing knives are probably the most eco friendly since explosives and fire aren't typically good for the environment. Smoke contributes to pollution and even stun grenades would leave casing parts. It's deffo between stuns and knives for most eco friendly...
@shadowwolf2608 Technically speaking, sickle should work too, as long as i don't reload which may be challenging, but doable. I believe that explosive nades still leave fragments on the ground and you cannot pick up knives, so they don't seem eco friendly. Thermites however should be fine. The biggest problem i see are the resupplies, cuz obviously you're leaving the hellpod behind. I'll give it a go, but can't promise anything, this seems pretty hard, not gonna lie :D
I think General Brash should replaced by Sarge. 😂
Still new to Sarge's channel. Just realize that his videos are mostly missions against bots. Do you have plans against the terminids on your solo missions?
I will probably upload some more bug runs in the future, but this is mostly a bot oriented channel. And judging by the views, this is what most of my audience wants to watch 😉
I think he prefers bots. They're a fair bit tougher to fight than bugs but also precision and stealth, a main aspect of this channel, works better against them. Stealth works to a degree against bugs too but they are far better at finding you, the flip side being that they have less range and coordination than bots, mostly relying on swarming you and with the exception of chargers and bile titans they don't need precision to deal with their weak spots really.
Did you put the mini nuke in first, so you knew it was your first shot? Or was that just good luck :-)
Yeah, whenever i get a nuke, i always put it in first
Automatons see the a helldiver beginner turns out it’s the doom slayer 😂 RIP automaton race
This could be you, if you only gave your full attention to those training manual tips...
Skill issue to everyone else
