Excellent fire house. The older booster, and the entire house, is definitely a testament to the level of professional volunteerism of this department. As a retired volunteer for 37+ years, the evidence of professionalism started at the very beginning with the captain in his Class B uniform. Great professional presentation.
Yeah had to take a break cause cost and me working a ton of OT at my full time job. We will keep it rolling but maybe a bit spread out. Make sure to click notifications so you don’t miss them !
I wished you would of talked about the old apparatus they ran in the 70's and the 80's. I was a part-time dispatcher at Goodwill of Pottstown back in the 80's. Goodwill dispatched Ridge.
Thank you so much for walking through of a very old established VOLUNTEER Fire Protection department 😊❤ love the concept of response with 4 by 4 in bad weather first. And that very well maintained brush rig was 4 by 4. I have lived through the CHAIN up of snow plows for a city fleet. It's hard work, especially with duel rear chain ups.
I’m a junior over in Lancaster county station 23 and our station is in a similar situation, we built our original one and then in the 70s we outgrew it so we built a new one a block away and then added on in the early 2000s and we just recently redid our lounge too
Another great job Mike! I know you have been super busy, but it was nice to see an upload from HND. That station seemed awesome!! Up to date, well run/managed, but not so “fancy” as I’am seeing some of these stations become. I’m sure you get what I’m saying. But they seem to know what and when to update, but not necessarily go over-kill with the “glits and glamour.” One thing I didn’t follow was when the Captain was saying it’s nice to have a 4x4 when responding to accidents. Any idea on what he was referring to with Engine 62-2?
Thanks for watching as always. They use the 4x4 engine in inclement weather and don't use their first out like normal. They feel it's safer to drive in bad weather.
I’m not sure about the us but in the world there is a station in Germany with a bunch of trucks and they even have a crane and an indoor pool, there’s a video game based off of the station called emergency call 112
How I learned from a wildland Batt. Chief was 😊 the terms are mainly different for the West Coast versus East Coast. The difference is in wildland RADIO talking 😊 the command doesn't want to mix up Air drops of water over a big supply of water on the ground. On the east coast, when I see TANKERS rolling and it's worded on sides of the huge water supply vehicles. It calls them "TANKERS"
@@HeroesNextDoor NFPA would be the one to set the standard, One term set forthe nation just like firefighter and emt . One standard would help would help in case of a diaster if resources were pull from another state, common language would make it work well. Clearly you have never fought wildland with the Forest service, they have a standardized apparatus term list.

Thank you for the kind words.
Finally you're back with the station cribs video

@Jamie-2307 He does have a FT job, a life and a family. Give Mike a break. He does a great job doing this in his spare time.
@@johnlebzelter4208 I understand. Everyone deserves a break for their hard work filming and so on.
You had justifiable reasons to be gone and take a break. But we are glad to see you back!!
GREAT STATION!!
Thanks for watching

Exelente cuartel!!!
I'm glad you like it.
love the show and watching all the smaller stations in rual america, but what is the biggest fire station in USA units vice?
I’m not sure about the us but in the world there is a station in Germany with a bunch of trucks and they even have a crane and an indoor pool, there’s a video game based off of the station called emergency call 112
Not sure I would have to research it
I heard it’s a 45 bay station
being more community orinated is how to hopefully get ppl to join police, fire and ems
That is the goal!!!
Any idea what the brand of the utility body is that is on that Chevy?
DuraMag Body
Is there a significance to the way trucks are lined up when they are not in the bay? I mean how some of them are ahead of others.
Priority of calls and frequency for the unit
@HeroesNextDoor ok thanks
Tanker has wings and Tender has wheels.
Depends where you live
