Bruh. You couldn’t have said that tip when we were Jerry rigging the darn door open. I spent twenty minutes trying to get the thing open 😂 either way, awesome video
Went from "won't stop when door is opened", (switch is ordered 2dys b4) to "won't do anything" (light is now on steady}. I popped the top to nut the wires so we could run the wet load that was in it. I went to youtube when I saw the three wires. this was the perfect vid to get the answer. First one I clicked on. Thanks.
These directions were absolutely perfect and easy to follow.. My adult son with autism and I were able to fix our dryer for the cost of the part, which was about $7 instead of having to call an appliance repair company.Thank you!!!
Thanks for the easy-to-understand, direct, and clear video. I replaced the door switch a few years ago but just needed to see how to do it. The bonus tip on using the knee was genius and super easy. Replaced my door switch again and took about 15 minutes top. Would have been a few minutes faster but I didn't bring both screwdrivers or a flashlight. The switch screws gave me a little trouble lining up.
Dryer Repaired! Thank You! Took me 1 hour. That includes 15 minutes of work, 45 minutes of blood, sweat, and frustrating words. That switch was hard to disconnect!
I am so grateful 🙏 I fixed my dryer for $7! 🎉❤ also, I used the same principle for fixing my refrigerator! I got the part number from the website you mentioned and instead of costing $260 for parts and labor, the part costed $13! Thank you so much! 😊❤
Thanks so much! This was an easy fix. My replacement part was $40, but that’s better than a brand new machine and having to figure out how to dry my clothes in the meantime. I giggled at the knee trick demo, but it was actually more effective than the putty knife haha!
Good tips. I had the same issue with missing screws on a used Whirlpool dishwasher last weekend we installed. The two that hold the toe-kick to the unit. I checked a hundred screws that I keep on hand and luckily the very last two that I tried actually fit! Like you said, the OE screws were around $20 each! ✌🏻to that! 😎
That's a great things to have in a tool bag! A bag/container with a variety of screws. Just like with your experience, it helped me out quite a few times too. A pouch with random screws has been a great addition to my tool bag. I learned this from a senior tech who had half a bucket of random screws and nuts in his truck... 😅
I think of the fact that my dryer keeps running with the door open as a feature.:) Ok, I get the kids and arm thing... I guess I will have to fix mine now that you taught me how.
Great little vid Jay ... Your statue went from a peace sign to the ole one finger salute 😂😂😂 And I hope your step ladder finds out who his real Dad is ... Lol ... Thx for posting ...
Lol, thank you Eddy! In one of the future videos I will apply a Band-Aid to it. 😉 Glad you enjoyed the joke! I appreciate you always stopping by, may you have a splendid weekend good sir!
Awesome directions!!!!! It all worked perfectly, except after I put the lint holder back on, the dryer wouldn't start (it did after I put the new switch in, and before I put the screws in). What could be the issue??
Hello good buddy 🙂👋👋👋☺️ good to see you my favorite friend I'm happy to see you Jay 👊🤜🤛✌️🤙 I'm doing better everyday a friend of mine gave me a 2010 Ford F-150 four wheel drive I got to try it out this morning it came a five inch snowfall and ol big Red did really well it was here late husband truck and he passed away last October and didn't need it got low miles so that it worked out great for me well take care buddy and as always I love you guys take care your ol buddy Dave
Hello David! Glad to see you in the comments! And it's even better since you seem to be in a great mood. 😄👌👌👍👍 It's awesome that you have such great friends! That F150 sounds like a nice truck! Drive safe my friend and may these blessings only be an appetizer of all the good things yet to come this year! Stay healthy, stay positive, stay blessed! Aloha from Hawaii 🤙🤙🌴🦎👨👩👦
@@WordofAdviceTV you have a big heart ❤️ Jay. Yeah I'm actually happier than I have been in a long time Arnold is doing better and it seems like I have been having good luck with everything
HaHa!!! 🤣 love the ladder joke! GREAT VIDEO Jay! I can see where the plastic switch would break😖 And $20 for two screws WOW!!! Take care my friend. God be with 🇺🇦🙏 🕊🕊🕊
Lol good to know that at least some people loved it 😄 thank you! Yep, with those switches, I often see the little black tab broken off. Ha and I know right?? That's why I went with the $0.29 screws instead 😎 I appreciate that, may God bless you and yours as well! Have a great weekend Silver!
Two hunters were dragging a deer they had just shot back to their truck. Each one had a grip on a rear leg. As they passed by an old Indian, he commented that the deer would pull a lot easier if they pulled it by the front legs because of the direction that the deer’s hair lays. So the hunters each began pulling by the front legs. After a few minutes, one of them says, “Boy! This is alot easier". Yes, says the other one, but we sure are getting a lot further from the truck....
@@tommywwalden1599 I use them instead of dryer sheets. They prevent static on my clothes. Packaging says they are supposed to reduce drying time, ymmv.
In the mean time while waiting for it to get fixed just shut off the dryer prior to taking laundry out. I had to do this for a few weeks until my new one arrived. No biggie
Nothing to do with the repair, but I have never figured out the reason for the door to flip open on some machines as that one does. Makes you reach and lift at the same time.
Perfect. It was an absolutely great walk through. Took me very little time to fix mine. Thanks.
I ordered the part and just fixed it! Easy! Im walking around tell my kids “Guess who fixed the drier?” Your Mama!! lol. Thank you for the help
Bruh. You couldn’t have said that tip when we were Jerry rigging the darn door open. I spent twenty minutes trying to get the thing open 😂 either way, awesome video
Awesome! I “hot-wired” my dryer until the new switch gets here in a few days. Thanks for sharing your knowledge!

It worked!!! I just fixed my mom's dryer! Did the knee trick, which worked like a charm! thanks!
Thanks so much for sharing this video! Just fixed my Whirlpool dryer for $10 and prevented the pre-holidady blues. I really appreciate your help.

Thank you. My dryer is fixed. I fixed it myself with your video help! You saved me lots of money!
Dryer Repaired! Thank You!

my husband had trouble with it too. So grateful for this video though
Thank you! The first half of your video and $6 later, we're back in business!
Thanks for the lesson, saved me from getting another dryer. It was the door switch, easy to replace.
Exactly what happened to our dryer! Fixing it tomorrow! Thanks so much.
The knee trick is awesome, had my switch replaced in 5 minutes! Thanks so much!!

Thank you for not skipping parts! I was not sure how to separate the plastic parts without breaking them. But your video helped!
Worked like a charm!!! My 86yr old mom was scared because the drier wouldn’t shut off. Now it does!!👍🏼 Thank your sir!!!!

Love to hear that! You're welcome. 🙂
That was so very helpful and the humor and puzzle made me smile. Great job indeed!!!!
Thank you for this video. I am replacing that switch today.
Thank you so much! Your video was easy to follow and saved me so much money since I didn't need to call in a repair service.
Found the Panda with 8 seconds to spare! Not bad for a 67+ old guy with Cataracts.
Thanks for the vid!Just saved us a $150 Service Call.
Thanks for the knee push and pull tip 👍
The trick at the end for opening the lid of the dryer worked like butta 👌
Great tip on how to open it with your knee and pulling it.
Great video. Changing switch saved buying new dryer Many thanks.
Thanks! One of the reasons I love TH-cam I wonder how much did I save by just doing it myself
Minimum of $60 for drive time to/from your place, plus the markup they put on parts.
You are very good at explaining things. Keep it up and a sincere good luck to you. Cheers,

I love it! You had the complete video experience 😄
THANKS!!! Exactly what I needed; clear and easy to follow.
Great video man!!! Really helped - even the wire rigging so I can at least dry the clothes that were in there !
excellent, loved his humor and skill. Thanks, sorry you broke your peace sign, Peace my friend.

Thank you! Very helpful walkthrough. Love the knee trick
I think of the fact that my dryer keeps running with the door open as a feature.:) Ok, I get the kids and arm thing... I guess I will have to fix mine now that you taught me how.
I understand the idea. 😄 If not my 4-year old becoming ever-more curious by the day, I probably would have just left it alone.
At the end, I was amazed that the dryer started up without being plugged back in! (at least being shown plugged back in)
Haha nice catch! I really did forget to film the plugging it back in part 😅
If people have to be babysat to that degree, they need to not be allowed to use tools.
I fixed it. Hard to do with arthritic hands but I did it. Thank you

Have a kemore 600 gas dryer replaced the door switch and light bulb inside the dryer light will not light up
Thanks. Funny.
What size are the screws missing 1
Will that switch prevent the dryer from turning on?
I did the switch bypass and got it running. New switch on order.
Thanks for the video 👍
Saw you are using those wool balls. I found they are great in the drier. :-)
What are the purpose of the wool balls in the dryer? They stay in the dryer during the run/drying cycle too?

Haha maybe some day. 😄 He is usually taking a nap when I film. Thanks for the suggestion though!
The switch on my clothes washer failed (long before Amazon), it's job was to stop the washer in spin cycle if the lid was open. I bypassed it. Lol
Yes. You bought the truck for the engine. Brakes are for tourists...

Nothing to do with the repair, but I have never figured out the reason for the door to flip open on some machines as that one does. Makes you reach and lift at the same time.
I can only agree, it's not the most convenient design. I suppose they had a reason behind it but I haven't heard of it 😇
