WOW WOW WOW...I have been an avid ELO fan since the very beginning and thought they could never be copied...I was proven wrong....this was the greatest rendition of "Turn to stone" I have EVER heard, I would pay good money to see this particular group play ELO all night long...WELL DONE.

Not easy to cover in my mind. They pulled it off which is pretty amazing. Bev, Kelly, and Jeff were always providing backing vocals. Synths of the time were not as available as they became so in the 80s when the sounds changed along with music. Still one hell of a cover.
The advent of digital audio engineering solved a lot of the problems that Jeff Lynne faced in the 1970's, when it was very difficult to reproduce ELO's signature sound during live concerts with the old analog audio systems. I know one friend who attended one of those live concerts in the 1970's and he told me it was little more than just "noise." Some instruments just cancelled out others. The concert was, in his words, disappointing. It is one reason why Lynne disbanded ELO in the 1980's. Pre-sale efforts for some planned concert tours were way down. But digital engineering has now progressed to the point where ELO's signature sound can be reproduced almost perfectly. Lynne's 2014 concert in Hyde Park, featuring the BBC Orchestra, was just profound. He finally got the chance to do what could not be done when ELO was on top of the charts some 40-years earlier.
I love the music of ELO! Grew up with their music! Shared their music with my kids when they were toddlers (along with Steely Dan, the Doobies, and other "Yacht Rock" faves). Now THEY listen to and make reference to ELO's hits as adults.

They are amazing and do an awesome concert. I have seen them several times when they come to Florida. If you ever get a chance to see them do it !!!!
They have a show in Kerrville, Texas (about an hour northwest of San Antonio) and I already have tickets.

@@101053Mike Yep, and going on the clip I saw of the newer lineup doing "Telephone Line", they are decidedly INFERIOR in every way to the lineup featured here. The new "Jeff Lynne" sang flat and mumbled through every word. There even appeared to be several less string players in the current edition, too. And to top it off, I couldn't take anymore after the first minute and had to turn it off. This lineup, however, NAILED IT! Too bad they obviously didn't last long.

The orchestra was absolutely great! The lead singer is so pro...almost Jeff Lynne! Go see them you will not be disappointed! SO MUCH FUN!

I am a massive E.L.O. fan, don't much like cover bans, but i thought i was listening to the real thing.All i can say is they have just blown my mind, fantastic Wow brilliant.

AGREED! I saw a video of the newer lineup BUTCHERING the hell out of "Telephone Line". Whereas this "Jeff Lynne" guy nailed the look and sound of the real thing, the other guy, who looked like more like a stupid hipster cowboy approximation of JL, sang flatter than a tire on a thumb tack, and there appeared to be less of a string section than in the 2016-era edition featured in this video. It was so utterly, unforgivably HORRIBLE that I had to turn it off after the first minute or two.

i was a bit hard with my criticism im comparing them to jeff and elo whom i love so nothing can beat the original..it was very good but a little artificial thats all.

No se compara con la calidad interpretativa , por ejemplo , de Rosie Vela , la que hizo de segunda voz en algunas giras de Electric Light Orchestra , reemplazando , de alguna forma , a Kellly Groucutt.
La voz solista , la del joven , está bien , pero yo sacaría a la mujer .
La parte instrumental está muy bien hecha - pienso.
