I lowkey love mass market paperbacks bc they smell good (lol??), make a nice crinkly sound when you hold it, are great for traveling, and I kind of like the cracks in the spine that shows you read a book. They look terrible on a shelf though 😭
I just found your channel. I am 60, and I love YA still. I like to watch Hallmark during the holidays but not to read. Great job! I hate the tiny paperbacks also.
Hard agree on one for my enemy, except i eventually admitted defeat like 50 pages left of the book, but it just made me so depressed every time i looked at the book knowing i still had to finish it, i just couldn't do it. so much plot potential but the characters were so interchangeable, i feel like Olivie spent more time trying to make each sentence sound like a tumblr quote that she forgot about character development
I have finished The Poppy War series, overall 3.75☆. You did like the first one sigificantly more than me but you probably made the right choice. I LO♡E Priory of the Orange Tree but 100% agree that the ending is reshed and weak. A Day of Fallen Night was much better paced And I like it even more. Amina al-Sirafi was a 3☆ when I origonally rated it but 2.25☆ is where I am now I just bought Forged by Blood! lol, I'm still excited for it but I do need to wait till Im in the right mood for it.
I also have a hard time giving away my books but I have slowly gotten much better at it. Now, I regularly donate my books. 📚
I’m definitely trying to make it more of habit so other people can enjoy the books I don’t need anymore!

I might have to checkout a day of fallen night then because I really liked the story just wasn’t a fan of the pacing
