I'm happy mori calliope won music vtuber of the year, I really like her and I like her music but if I'm being honest. Suisei Deserved to win. She was literally on the first take twice being the first vtuber to do so. Also, her singing is just wow. Blows my mind every time she never misses.
it is my personal opinion, but Mori is good, while Suisei is great. So I was very surprised. I think the last drop to me was when Kobo won. I watched a little bit after that, but decided to just stop watching, cause it was kinda disappointing. I don't blame Filian or fans or vtubers that won over other vtubers that in my opinion deserved the award more. All of them were doing what they supposed to be doing. There are solutions to make it more fair, but I don't think it would be fun at all. Like one of them is to filter the fans, i.e. you do the survey and then the voting page just doesn't include whoever you put in the "favorite vtubers" category or any vtubers from the "favorite corpo" category. You know what? I take it back. It would be fun. It would be also more interesting to watch

The fact that Suisei was on there despite voting being biased towards English-speaking streamers just goes to show how far-reaching her music and talent is. Same for any non-English-speaking streamer that was nominated. Plus I think saying "(X) should/shouldn't have won (Y) award" feels a bit mean-spirited in a show that's meant to celebrate achievements in the VTubing sphere.

I feel like what's probably going to happen is more questionable nomination winners since by your rules, people would be excluded out of categories on a technicality rather than because people didn't vote for them. Then what's left are talents that you're actually allowed to vote for whether or not people think they fit the nomination more or less than the talents that are already excluded resulting in nominations that are- yes, more varied, but potentially more wonky too. Maybe good for a game or competition, but not really for a show that celebrates achievements. This could be far from a popular opinion though, but that's how I see this.

The only thing i wished would be that Camila would have won in Rising star. The fact that Niji was even nominated for Best Org after all the fails they did this year. Same goes for Idol, they kinda screwed up just before the awards, I'd nominate Phase Connect instead. Their selection of clips was questionable. A whole company being nominated for Vtuber Parent.

Yeah it was insane. I’m not a conspiracy theorist and I always try to give the benefit of the doubt but it was so bad I find it hard to believe that wasn’t intentional. At the very least they just googled the names and used the first clip that came up lol
