Thank you for your review Cody!
I totally agree that the Battle of the Bulge version of Dan’s system is the better game. Although I also agree that this game is a great implementation of a complex topic and I love to play it. 😄

Not sure if you’ve kept up on the vaunted Ukrainian counter-offensive, but I think your opening joke would have been more accurate if it was about Ukrainians operating western tanks lol
On a related topic, is there a chance we can get some Ukraine content on your Cody Carlson PHD channel? Even something about the Soviet 1943-44 offensives in Ukraine would be extremely interesting and timely, especially if Russia does plan any offensives to regain control of its historic cities and lands in eastern and southern Ukraine, Odessa and Kharkov in particular.

I don't currently have any plans for major commentary on the war. I've thought about it, but and might do something down the road. Part of the issue is maps and images. It might be difficult to find public domain content. Thanks.

I have to admit, this game underwhelmed me a bit. I think Battle of the Bulge 1944 is superior, by a country mile. This game is missing a supply tracker, even though it references one. The map looks nice, but it has no charts on it. The setup cards are confusing . The rules were also confusing in some places. It's sort of fun, but it sure doesn't blow me away or anything. I will probably sell it.

It felt like a serious rush job after the enthusiasm from the community for BotB. I immediately traded it after receiving and seeing the major quality differences between the two. You have to be on your guard when purchasing games from Worthington sometimes.

Those are fair criticisms, and I agree Bulge is better by a long shot. Still, I like the puzzle that this one puts out there, and there was more than enough to keep me entertained.

I really was turned off on how they didnt include an RP track on the board. BotB had a much better board with all the info it included
