The Cedar Rapids Kernels (Los Angeles Angels affiliate) hosted the Kane County Cougars (Oakland Athletics affiliate) in a four-game series at Veterans Memorial Stadium from April 30 through May 3, 2010. This video montage shows highlights of Angels prospect Mike Trout during that series.

was born and raised in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Used to work for the kernels ball club. got to see so many good future major leaguers, and Mike Trout is def in my top 10 list of all time greatest kernels. such a joy & privelege to get to watch him play.

I was lucky enough to be at a few of these games. It just reminds me of how few fans were in the stands at that time. I bet more wish they were there when they could of been. Lol.

The 2010 Cedar Rapids Kernels roster was loaded with future major leaguers -- Mike Trout, Tyler Skaggs, Jean Segura, Garrett Richards, Buddy Boshers, Randal Grichuk, Pat Corbin, and David Carpenter are names I come up with.
