    I love my Manjula too. It's actually been an easy plant for me and is keeping its variegation. I have mine hanging in an east-facing bedroom window but I control the light with the blinds. Thanks for sharing Peggy!

    I can’t believe I found a Manjula today at Lowes. I almost lost all my breath. And to top it off I found an Njoy last week at one of our nurseries. Texas is finally stepping it up…always late. Thanks for the video💚

    You have to hear this. I was looking at one reduced at Loews. Thought it looked different. Couldn't decide to buy it or not,it was $ 8.00. I walked away, another lady came up to register with it. I was heart sick. But there was a nice size piece hanging off of it. I asked her for it. She was kind and let me break it off. I've rooted it and had it for two months now. Nice knowing the name now! Thanks.

    I didn’t know it does best in low light. I just got one and it was part of an arrangement (which I bought just for the manjula). I’ll adjust its placement. It’s so beautiful and I want it to flourish. Thanks for the video.

    I got one of the big baskets at Lowe's a few months ago. It was stunningly beautiful. I ended up putting mine under my Soltech grow light and lower leaves started yellowing. I'm wondering if it doesn't like getting light only from above. So I moved it to a window where it can get light to more leaves. We shall see. It's so pretty! I don't want to lose it. I already took a cutting and rooted it for a friend. Rooted very easily in just water.

    • @PeggysPlants

      I recently rooted a cutting from the one I already had and it also rooted easily in water. I was trying to get a fuller pot. Now I don't have to worry about that. 🙂 Thanks for watching and enjoy your Manjula!

    I bought mine at a big box store and it really struggled. Finally I found two happy spots for it as I ended u dividing the main plant during a rescue repot. Now both plants are doing well. HA Afraid to move either one. One is in my master bathroom and the other in my living room on my work table. Both under the LED 5000K daylight light bulbs. I really love the wavy leaves.

      What a great find. It's a pretty easy plant to care for. When I have more than one plant and I'm unsure of the care, I do the same and put them in different areas. I helps make figuring out the best place much easier when you can try multiple places at the same time. Enjoy your Manjula!

    • @PeggysPlants
      @PeggysPlants  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I honestly had no idea that they were known to get browning edges. I'm not doing anything special as I have never had an issues with the edges on my Manjula. It has been my experience when leaf edges brown, they needed more humidity. Of course, that is based on the conditions in my home and may not be the same for your plants. Thanks for watching.

      I live in El Paso TX where it is very dry, and very hot, all year-round. I’ve definitely experienced soft/velvety brown spots on some leaves of my Manjula. I think perhaps it was more or less acclimated to the climate here before I took ownership of it. The previous owner let it dry completely between waterings and I think I might’ve been a tad over-ambitious with the watering in those first few weeks I had it 😏 I really don’t know. I’m at a loss otherwise. Really wish I knew what was up with it though so I could at least try to prevent it

  • @Avocetexotics
    @Avocetexotics 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I got one in December from lowes. It was very large and full. I can't get it to do well. My house is very humid and all of my plants always do great. I've tried watering more and less, bight and medium direct light, bright medium and low indirect light, and the leaves keep browning no matter what I do. I'm considering just taking it out of the pot, putting the whole plant in water for a few day to rejuvenate it and then repotting it worth be soil to see if that helps.

    • @PeggysPlants
      @PeggysPlants  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry to hear that you are having problems with yours. They can be divas, at times. Once you figure out what yours wants, it will be easy growing. I find that I have to water mine much more often than my other pothos. Best of luck!

    I loved this video thank you! ✨ Do you happen to know how to help regain the variegation on my Manjula? Would moving it further from the light be helpful? 😅

    • @PeggysPlants
      @PeggysPlants  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have sections of mine that are no longer variegated. I cut the section back to the variegation and that has worked for me. Light can help enhance variegation but it won't cause a non variegated leaf to become variegated.

    Everytime I've tried propogating my manjula in water, it never roots, but just rots and turns slimy. I've propagated 15 FULL marble, golden, and jade pothos plants and have NEVER had this type of issue... Do you know what would cause this? I try proping them the exact way you explained in the video :/

    • @PeggysPlants
      @PeggysPlants  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I know exactly what you're talking about. I've had that happen as well. Can't tell you why it happens sometimes but I find that mine are less prone to rot if I don't have a long stem before the node. I also use leca sometimes to propagate which also seems to cut down on the likelihood of rot. Best of luck!
