Thank you so much for this great information!! I have dual GS165 MFD running lighthouse 3 on my Boston Whaler 370... I also have the M232 FLIR which works perfectly!! Super happy with it all. Now... can I integrate the AR200 into my system (using the M232 or a new Cam210)?? Or is it strictly for Axiom displays? Thank you for any help!
Hi Jared. The Augmented Reality capability of the AR200 is only available on Axiom systems. Though the gS-Series could be updated to LightHouse 3, they don't have the resources necessary to run Augmented Reality. You could add an Axiom display of any size to your system and network it with the gS-Series. AR was added with LightHouse 3 version 3.7. Your gS-Series and the Axiom would all need to be running the same software build to coexist peacefully on the network. Since you would have a mixed system of gS and Axiom, you would need to run LightHouse 3.11 Cannes on all of them.
I realize that the CAM210 and 220 are not full on FLIR units but at what distance does the IR lights effective to? I am with a Marine Search & Rescue unit (Lake Ontario) and feel this might just be a solution to have an extra pair of eyes of a towed casualty in low light/night operations. Typical tow line about 100' to 200'. Your webinars are a wealth of information, thank you.
Hi Grant. Those cameras do have near-IR LED illumination built in to augment their night capability. Those LEDs are designed to light up a dark engine room, an unlit cabin, or provide light on the deck in the immediate vicinity of the camera. The range of that near-IR LED light doesn't go much beyond 50-feet. Objects that have reflectors on them (bouys, day markers, life jackets) do reflect that near-IR light and might be visible a bit farther. This might be a bad comparison, but if you're familiar with the images produced by video doorbells and similar home security cameras at night, these cameras are doing something very similar. The camera core is low-light capable and makes a great night image on its own with any light available. The LEDs give it a bit more oomph to help eliminate shadows in the scene, or provide light when there is none at all otherwise.
Hi Patrick. Augmented Reality (AR) works with all models in the Axiom range. Axiom, Axiom+, Axiom Pro and Axiom XL. When the AR200 sensor module is detected on the network the menus in the Video application will come to life that support the setup and calibration of the AR system. You will want to make sure your Axiom system has the latest software installed if you are adding Augmented Reality to it. AR became available starting with LightHouse 3.7 or higher.
Excellent explaination on that tech...good job & thumbs up. Wish to have a discussion like this on how reliable Raymarine combo to be use on open deep saltwater fishing?. I' m talking about Raymarine tech 3D scan, CV, SV.
Great goal and implementation
Thank you for watching the webinar!
Thanks a lot, i love your webinairs. Keep up the good work!
Glad you like them! Thanks for watching.

Does it work with axiom or only axiom+

Thanks Sukri! You can learn more and discuss capabilities over on our support forum at forum.raymarine.com.
