Thanks for the review. Battery drain while sleeping has been reported by another reviewer and is from Air being turned on. If you are using this on-camera as a single light setup (as shown in the video), you can disable that radio function. I assume there is no drain if you power the flash OFF. Why manual mode? Did you find TTL not accurate?
hi I just bought a profoto A10 and for any reason stop flashing everything looks just fine but the only problem am having is that is not flashing on the camera and of camera either way no flashing at all. can you help me please?
hey there, that sounds strange. What sort of flashing is it? During live view? Don't worry, on the final images, there should not be any of this visible. I have the A10 as well and it works finde. However, anytime I use it on my EOS R5, during live live, I see it flickering, if there is an external source of LED light. Otherwise raise a query to Profoto.
Not now. Just got a brand new n box Profoto A1 for $440! Plus they come with well over $100 worth of accessories that the Godox does not ship with. Not only that the Profoto has a better build quality and much better consistency, better customer service, etc. Some say the Godox V1 does have a slightly nicer light pattern, but that that’s easily fixed with modifiers. So when it’s all said and done, the A1 is probably the better way to go. It will fire full power on the last frame of battery life, as it did on the first with a full battery. The Godox will not do that, and the Godox may not be a accurate each and every time, especially at high frame rates. If you’re a budget person and all you care about is getting the best deal…get the Godox. If you’re like me and prefer to spend a little more for reliability, ease of use and peace of mind, but the A1 or A10! They are more expensive and they are not for everyone, but nobody has ever claimed they are a piece of junk! Most reviews say the Profoto A1, is a really nice unit, with great features and ease of use is fantastic. My main reason for buying the A1, was ease of use and the menus, second was price and what’s included for that price. If I ordered the Godox, I’d pay $260, plus $60 for the accessories kit. Whereas the Profoto A1 comes with a wide angle diffuser, a dome diffuser and a bounce card/black flag. For $440, the easy choice was definitely the Profoto A1. But when you wrote this comment, maybe the Godox made more sense!

Nice light. But for that price you can buy a (2) AD200 Pros, (1) V1 and a xPro trigger...
Well, it's about the entire device.
I've never seen the AD200
Thanks for the hint. Daniel
lem mobley very true. However a Mercedes Benz owner can also buy a Ford. I get misfires with godox from time to time and color shifts
@@lwhite7991 The FORD GT IS A SUPER CAR...
Cool, how do you plan on strapping the Ad200 pro to your camera?
Bet flash out there. Any idea if the battery of the A1X works on the A1?
Excellent video
Thanks a lot. Working on the A10 review at the moment. Daniel
@@the_daniel_life looking forward to seeing that video.
Your light on the subjects is far too harsh in the last images, looks like it was taken with a cheap throw away camera.
Excellent speedlight but it is wrongly marketed as a studio light. Great product though :)
I like it a lot.
Thanks for watching.
Daniel
Is this worth the extra 500 compared to Sony’s f;ash?
It´s part of the standard that you will end up using if you are a pro. If it´s worth it now or later is the question :)
NO!
what temperature does the modeling light have?
Not 100% sure, bit it seems to be quit warm
Imagine charging $1200 for a speedlight and you don’t even give all the accessories with it.
Well the A1 got cheaper. Now I have the a10 for the same amount with the Profoto Connect. Daniel
GODOX V1 for 260$ FTW.
