@@jonpetter8921 Production does not equal demand. And VW already admits that its taking them 8x as long to produce an EV than it does for Tesla to produce one. The demand for new ICE cars is falling off a cliff in Europe. Nobody wants a new ICE car that will be worthless by the time you go to trade it in. People with 3-4 year old BMW's etc are already finding that selling it in Norway is hopeless. Used ICE cars are selling at 65% discount below book value.

Germany is a Social Democracy. The unions are everywhere. Its rare to not be part of a workers guild in Germany. The cost of living is also higher. For me, the main reason is that Europeans, specially Germans are rather loyal to locally built cars, so that fact that Teslas are now being built by the germans (considerably the ones who have the better built quality cars), it's gonna ramp up European's consumption of Teslas.

  • @gpsfinancial6988

The reduction in shipping costs mean that even if the German workers cost $100 an hour more, it could still be cheaper to supply Europe from the German factory than the Chinese one. There is the added bonus of several thousand dollars of import taxes being removed. The factory in Germany frees up Model Y for Asia and Australasia, so Shanghai will still be busy.

So many fool bears on Tesla. Elon has just built 3 factories in 3 years with unheard of production efficiency. He makes high profit on every car he sells , unlike all other EV sellers. He has now made a committment to build 15-20 million cars a year within 10 or so years. Elon always follows through, sometimes a bit late but always superceding the production numbers and specifications expected. It takes a bit more time to get the engineering right or even better. Elon is an engineer that doesn't care about profit, but because of the excellent engineering he is making better margines than any MBA idiot ever has. Do some actual research rather than just glad handing yourselves with endless platitudes..... Bears.
