    I’ve heard stories that my dad said when I was younger where he said that his friend from either Tonga or Samoa went to the beach on a Sunday / sabbath day. They were normal before they went into the water but when they got out, their faces were all deformed and like melted looking.

And it took three days for them trying fofo, and other witchcraft shit, but she ended up passing on which was sad for family, and i never walked past that house ever again or ate any fruits from garden but always heard noises and weird things happening late at night. So I never showed at night no more lol was shit scared ah, was happy i left for American Samoa to live with grandparents

    This is the first time in hearing this. Just end of last year I’m finding out about how strong my Samoan heritage is flowing through on my Dad’s side (I’m Tongan btw). I have heard of stories when I was little here and there but not this one. Now putting two and two together, learning more Polynesian history, I feel like Samoa is the missing puzzle piece for me as a Tongan - it will take the rest of my life to decolonize and learn about bring back a lot of traditions in which are locked away or to bring to light in Tonga. I feel like the more I learn, the more for me things just don’t add up. Straight up, I feel like missionaries literally ripped a huge chunk out of our Tongan history book, closed it and gave it back to say “oh yeah here is your history”. As a Tongan in this stance, I feel like we’re just left out or casted out and not properly explained or informed. I really do. I cherish these stories. Samoa will always have a soft spot for me.

    • @alcapone8193
      @alcapone8193 ปีที่แล้ว

      Do your research, the missionaries in Tonga were only allowed in to preach christianity after Ulukalala challenged the old Gods of the polynesians and the Christian God, he told the missionaries that if there God was more powerful and was the one true God then he would survive if the missionaries prayed for his safety and his warriors as they would proceed to destroy the old Gods temples and their priests and priestesses.
      After ge destroyed the first temple and nothing happened to him, he continued and eventually converted to Christianity and then all of Tonga followed and Fiji and other islands.
      Everybody credits King George Tupou the 1st as bringing Christianity to Tonga but it was Ulukalala that did that and also it was Ulukalala the crowned his younger brother king, although they say they were cousins

    • @bubbaruu57441
      @bubbaruu57441 6 ปีที่แล้ว +22

      Yuri Boyka I mostly know about saumaiafi as she's half ghost half human. Very very beautiful girl with long beautiful hair and girls in the islands who keep looking in the mirror and brushing her hair especially beautiful girls with long locks like hers she gets jealous and will either cut your hair or you'll get slapped and end up with a crooked mouth, she doesn't want any other women to be more beautiful than her. She's like shapeshifter and can be anyone. My aunty (mums first cousin in Samoa) dealt with her before and it was not good. One day she went on the bus her hair was all long and let out and she had red lipstick and a flower in her ear she was a very pretty lady too but when she walked into the bus there was a very very old lady sitting at the front of the bus, when my aunty walked passed her thinking she was all that and being so loud and not considering the old lady as you have To respect your elders as soon as my aunty sat down the bus stopped and the old lady jumped out and no one saw her walk away or disappear there was no bus stop nothing which made everyone wonder where she went. As soon as my aunty jumped out the bus on the next stop my aunty felt a huge slap across her back and face and she got so sick that my grandmother actually had to go to saumaiafis dad's house to beg for forgiveness. My grand ma said that my aunty became so sick she almost died when they got to the door with my aunty the house was pitchblack on a full sunny day and a black cat answered the door and told them to go sit in the lounge my grandmother very spiritual knew her way around the dark. The cat jumped into the table and explain to my grandma saying about my aunty " who does this lady think she is thinking she can wear her hair in front of me like that ! And how dare she disrespected the old lady sitting in the front " that's why she slapped my aunty and to this day my aunty always tied her hair up gave up wearing make up and kept to herslf it really affected her badly. She was forgiven after 3 days from then on She never messed with that belief and my grandmother has warned every single one of us about it every time we go family gatherings in samoa.

    Telesa and Sauma'eafe's successors are the two most powerful healers and gifted women from Samoa, who have taken Samoa by storm carrying on what these half demons and half humans used to do. Now they are still in limbo and are trying to beg for these two women's forgiveness and from God, since they are out of the picture.

      Vick Me I heard stories but what I can remember was that. Teleisa was taken by demon alive, she roams around in different certain times I think I heard they’re around during noon and late night. Wrong move and they’re come after you, almost like you have to watch how you are, if you’re loud and very disrespectful you could be the target. I don’t think it has anything to do with beauty, I think it’s the way you act around certain times as Samoa is a very sacred place it’s hard to be a wild cat 😂 I just heard stories but I’ve never seen it myself.

So in Lepea, which is her village, if you come across a dog, cat, or any animal, don’t bother it because u don’t know if it’s an actual animal or if it’s Telesa. if u brother the animal, ur mouth becomes crooked and u would have to talk to her father abt ur interaction with her
