Especially relaxing during summer time. Winter will do too. But during summer is the best with an ice cream cone in hand. A cup of coffee is also good. Different ambience and feel depending on which season of the year. I think it is the Philosopher's Walk with an entrance at Bloor. Try it next time. There are tons and tons of quaint neighborhoods to explore in Toronto. I'd never sit outside a coffee shop right smack in the middle of downtown Toronto. Man... I miss Toronto!!!
You should check out Distillery District, which is not very far. Also, Vintage clothing is very popular in Canada. There are many stores in DT Toronto, for example Throwback Vault (my fav!!!) Black Market Clothing (too many stuff in there, you need to dig in and look) both are on Queen Street. Kensington Market also has few Vintage clothing stores. Check them out.

If you're dying for Hong Kong Style food and Milk tea, check out 新香港餐廳 (HONG KONG BISTRO CAFE 472 DUNDAS ST W 2ND FLOOR), right in heart of DT Chinatown. It's hole in the wall type of place, nothing fancy, not necessary the best. But you can have some HK Style food without travelling far 😀.
Down town has lots of places to explore especially during summer months. Water front is a nice place to walk, enjoy the lake view and relax, take a ferry to central island for a picnic and enjoy the view, CNE at Exhibition Place in August/September, Honda Indy Toronto at Exhibition Place in July, Toronto Taste of Danford during the weekend of 5th August and more..... Explore and have a good summer.
Mei Mei you may have lactose intolerance to milk. Try to ask for “extra hot” milk for your coffee or lactose free milk for your coffee. It should help.
You should try walking around the water front. Downtown is just more than eaton centre and Dundas. You can go to Distillery district if you want some coffee. It's pretty nice vibe. Or take the boat to centre island
If the coffee was that good, go back next time but enjoy it in the small Grange Park just behind the Art Gallery of Ontario. It’s only a couple of minutes away. You’ll find the famous Henry Moore sculpture there. 加油!
