It is so beautiful in the summer, and so many stores and Chinese restaurants, The transportation are so convenient, you don’t have to buy a car. Choosing live in downtown Toronto is a lifestyle which is so enjoyable!
Brandy if you want to know Toronto well I can tell you. I came to Toronto in 1983. I know this city very well. At night make sure you and your lady friend don’t walk to a small and narrow streets for safety reasons.TTC is a good organisation, well pay and good benefits.

You are right , Downtown is quite dangerous after 8:30pm, that’s why most people live in uptown, Scarborough has a lot of Chinese speaking people from HK which include myself, I lived in Downtown over ten years because of work.
I lived in downtown for several years and I quite enjoy living there. Everything you need is within walking distant. Though it is a litle noisy I like it. It is full of life. As long as you avoid going to some area you will be just fine. Thank you for sharing and keep it up.
Hong Kong is so hot nowadays because of so many high towers crowded together , especially with the glass exterior, it make the city super uncomfortable. The best city design I think is London, more low rise instead of high rise. Toronto summer is much more bearable than Hong Kong, even if temperature is in the 30s. It was quite safe in downtown before this year, but this year a number of incidents had happened. The reason is Ford has cut down on support for the mentally unstable and this resulted in a lot of these people out on the streets. Hopefully this problem will be addressed soon.
Not just Downtown Toronto, Each town, including midtown, uptown has one or two street or area has "dark spot". Mississauga is not exception. Ask your friend to spot that to you.
It would be too far on the skate. The hot weather will follow. And it is a trade-off when you live downtown, lot of students live nearby, takes a while to get used to. Getting ready for your first Canada Day on Friday? Another long weekend.

在北美大城市裏，多倫多的市中心算十分乾淨，繁華和安全的，美國好多城市的downtown 治安好差，環境恶劣。過去两年疫情令市中心人流和車流少好多，和以往差好遠，希望疫情放缓，downtown重现生機。Canada Day 啦，去Woodbine Beach 欣赏吓湖境和烟花（無維港烟花咁大型，但都唔錯)，Beaches區都有D唔錯的coffee shop，Kew Garden 和湖邊的boardwalk 幾好行, 沿boardwalk 係單車路，可以踩skateboard 。

對老餅來說，多倫多 downtown 最好的地方是交通方便及有最好的醫院. 未須要入老人院前的好選擇😏 當然對年輕人更加是多姿多采，很多活動.

住downtown 有辣有唔辣 但勝在上班方便不需養車 而且附近也可以買日常用品
的確係！因為油價好貴養車太貴，暫時無錢應付到🤣各有各好！
近番工最重要，尤其是一開始冇車。依家凌晨要搭TTC啲巴士去返工，就會覺得返工時間好長。近排周圍都有啲危險，冇必要就唔好太夜出街。共勉之。
