If a person is kids intolerant why the heck get to be teachers....kids are the most pure, lovable souls we as grown people have the obligation to protect them not hurt them...!
School teachers are saints, underpaid and taken for granted, especially those who had to deal with me. They deserve so much more than what they are given.
I hate that schools focus so much attention towards what action they would take if a school shooting happened and less attention towards mental health issues within the student body. Maybe starting at the actual source of the problem would.....help?
I think those problems are more suited towards the parents, the school can only do so much. Parental actions go farther than a adult that probably wouldn't tell the difference between a kid and a hole in the wall.

As a teacher myself, I am seeing this societal change where the “system” puts so much effort into the curriculum and appeasing the test score gods, but putting zero effort towards the kid’s themselves. Let’s actually listen to them. Hear what they have to say. Not treat them like inmates in a prison.
That is so true. Children are treated like cop-outs for not wanting to perform in activities that they take no interest in. I for one hated Sports, it never helped me but I was forced to participate. Not to mention, I failed most of my subjects all throughout primary school and still managed to complete highschool with A's and B's. The system is a joke.

Other teachers have heard children laughing when no kids were there and pianos playing. And worst of all, one kid was standing up and as a teacher was looking at him, he got slammed to the ground and dragged back up by nothing and his hair was standing before it happened.
Things have changed. When I was in school there were no police, no security, no cameras, and pretty much all doors and windows were unlocked. Anyone could come in. Of course, this was also the 1960's - 70's and school shooters and stalkers were more or less unheard of.
I think that first story was probably a worried parent who wanted to show the school wasn't safe - that's a likely explanation. Hell, I remember a time before we even locked the school doors at all.... and my school had no guards at all. Small town schools in Canada I guess.

I had a teacher that was violent and grabbed us by our elbows so rough. We were in second grade!? I was terrified of her and she was the art teacher so i had her once a week and i dreaded every Tuesday. The teachers didn’t believe us but all of us told our moms so they got a lot of complaints about her

I'm a former Teacher at a HS that had a little bit of gang activity, fights, bad kids, entitled students & Parents, & where most admins were too scared to put the hammer down. I live @ 15 miles up where just a year ago we suffered a HS shooting, loosing 10 and hurting many others. It is a smallish town where all the kids know each other and nothing ever happens - no problems. NEVER expected that to happen here. You just never can tell, I guess.
So you see a young girl getting MOLESTED and you only call the principal and not the cops to? They didn't even go look for the scared child to call her parents. WTF. Just hell naw.
