  • Have you ever wondered what causes traffic? Indeed, what or who is responsible for the most time-consuming traffic jams? Is it human error? Poor city planning? Accidents?
According to experts, the most significant contributor to extreme traffic is poor decision-making by humans. At first glance, this may seem a bit upsetting but it’s rather good news. If humans are causing traffic, then they may also be the solution to traffic.
Currently, engineers are hard at work looking for a solution to traffic jams. But to find one, they must first understand the root cause of the problem: human-caused traffic.
These human-caused traffic problems are known as "phantom traffic jams." They all start when a driver in traffic makes a poor decision that causes a ripple effect affecting all cars on the road. Ultimately, this ripple effect leads to cars far enough behind the faulty driver coming to a complete stop.
This is why it is thought that autonomous cars may very well stop our traffic woes. These types of vehicles will not be prone to human errors and may well fix our traffic issues once and for all.
What other solutions do experts propose? Well, alternative travel solutions have been touted as one way of keeping too many cars off the road.
Can these provide the solutions we have been waiting so anxiously to receive? We answer these questions and more in our video.

The answer isn't more cars, it's using public transport, more bikes, walking more and working from home

We were introduced to one option during this pandemic. Offering work from home options to thousands of people who don’t need to be in a corporate office every day! My daughter in law’s job has been moved to a work from home post and she loves it. And her employer has more flexibility in using space they are already paying for.

Great context 🔥🚀..But I think someone has to hear this, the amount of time we spend believing we can't is more than enough to learn how we can make them reality

I've been getting a lot of people who doubted cryptocurrency before now asking me how to go in. They could have make 10-100$ profits when I pushed them before. But now I'm earning over $40,250 trading with a professional broker expert, funny how this things works out

I don't like automated cars one bit. I love being behind the wheel and dashboard of my car. Not just because I like being in full control, but driving is just fun. It's enthralling to be a driver of a car. At least to me it is.

Right there with you but the vast majority of drivers don’t understand why over braking causes jams.
The worst are the people who are overconfident about their own meager ability.

The answer to solving traffic is to use a higher capacity vehicle that takes up less space. To see an example of one such concept, go to 2:07 and look at the left side of the screen.

The key is very high fuel taxes with the revenue returned equally to all citizens, regardless of how much they use. This way you could take public transport and keep the money.

Public transport is a horrible idea. In my country 75% citizens use public transports. Do you know what happens with us? Each and every one of us is exploited daily.Firstly they move from their point A to Point B, not my house to my destination. Secondly, they form unions and charge whatever they like, no police or authorities can control them because they have union power. Thirdly, they Don't drive, they hunt passenger. Untill the bus is full they Won't move and when they start moving it will maintain It's favourable speed. It happened with me many time that i got on bus at 7 am to attend my work at 9 am at a distance of 11km. The driver stoped the bus in halfway, had his breakfast, took a nap and came back at 10:15 am. Because they have good union, not a single passenger could change the bus, other busses Won't take and of course all end up paying the full fair.
Moral: GUYS, NEVER EVER LOOSE YOUR MOBILITY TO ANY 3RD PARTY OR MIDDLE MAN. THEY WILL DRIVE FOR THEM NOT FOR YOU, INCLUDING AI AUTONOMOUS VEHICLES.
you guys are lucky to be in first world. Keep it free...

Surely it can only work if every single vehicle is driven automatically. How will that ever happen? There's airspace that hasn't been explored. When will smaller aircraft that's cheaper become a reality?
