I've done a lot of shooting with both (private side definitely is getting me more range time) and I can't shoot anywhere close to you. Fact is if you lost half your skill under real danger/pressure you'd still be better than many soldiers/officers I've worked with. Stay humble and keep training. I hope you never have to use your skill in a real life environment. But if shooting did go down, I'd want you on my side!

As an example I will offer this: There is one video where Zero talks about some rifle grip that he invented and how great his invention is, where as T Rex (even though they do sell tactical gear) on more than one occasion simply says "spend your money on ammo and time at the range to increase your proficiency" which you must admit is the best advice! Oh and also always mentioning things like trigger discipline, safety discipline, basic fundamentals to shooting and this is just some of the things. I would rather have someone who went through this school then the school of "Oh I can light it up real quick". :)
I see a lot of your AR-15's are painted, I think an amazing video about the benefits and the do's and don'ts to painting and what specific paint you use to do so would be a great idea for the channel!
Really enjoyed seeing you drill shooting ambi at 0:30 This is something I've been working on but I'm running into a small issue. I am right hand right eye dominant, and I shoot right handed with both eyes open when using my red dot. When I transition to shooting left handed, I transition faster and get the dot on target faster if I close my right (dominant) eye. If I transition to left handed and try get the dot on target while keeping both eyes open, I invariably lose the dot. Would you suggest continuing to drill shooting left handed with my right eye closed, trying to shoot both eyes open on both sides , or possibly something else? Also do you ever practice left handed reloads? Right now if I lock back when shooting left handed I transition right, reload, then continue.
By far the definition of hard work and proper training in such a short time could do you wonders. How many times do you shoot in a week and how many rounds approximately Lucas? Good job and awesome video! More power!

Lastly, a piece of advice, when someone asks something like, "why do you have all that kit?", your simple answer need only be: "Because I think its really cool". +The Walking Dad thanks man. But that isn't why I wear kit. I actually rarely wear kit and it sucks to shoot in. I'd rather just run a belt and go fast then wear a plate carrier and helmet. But because of the equipment I design and people I work with, I have to be knowledgeable about the gear they use. And that requires using that gear from time to time. In the majority of my videos here on TH-cam you'll see I'm just wearing a belt. There's a reason for that. Haha

Is it safe to shoot steal that close with your AR? I notice a lot of your videos you shoot your AR well within the 100 yard recommended limit. Are you using special ammo? Do you ever get ricochets? Also do your steel targets ever pit from being that close? Love the videos by the way and appreciate any insight.

The last time I tried a support side transition drill, I literally threw my gun on the floor (after bouncing it off the wall.) I was happy about the "natural wear" this put on my gun, but less so about what it meant for my skills.
+Palmer's Guns & Gear I think it's almost as good. I don't feel like I NEED a stock to shoot the rifle well. Only downside the brace is it may not hold up as well to mortaring to clear a bolt override. I should try sometime.

Lucas. I’ve watched quite a few of your videos (you give lots of great ideas for training drills) and I just noticed you shoot offhand with your thumb on the trigger finger side of the receiver. Any reason you have for this other than comfort/habit? Asking cause I do the same thing. Purely a comfort thing for me. Weird how it feels more natural like that on the offhand.
I think it’s safety manipulation. As an actual lefty without an ambi, I don’t feel comfortable using my index finger for it and sometimes shoot with my left thumb like this.
