LOVED when christine talked ab her experience with antidepressants !! only thing i will say, as someone who was also on antidepressants for years and weened myself off them w the help of my doctor, they aren’t IMPOSSIBLE to get off of. some are more difficult than others, but with proper medical advice and help it can be done !
it’s the same with my ADHD medication. i’ve been taking it for 7 years and am starting to see the long term effects of them. i was 15 when i started taking it but i never knew i had other options. i feel that doctors try and push medication on you but just know there are other ways to treat your mental health!!

@@kitt7443 there’s other ways to deal with certain symptoms it’s just harder and takes more time. i haven’t started but im going to start seeing a specialist who helps me learn certain tools to deal with them.

Hearing Christine talk about meds made me feel so understood. I’ve never heard someone explain it exactly how I felt
The last 10 minutes I think I actually cried from laughing so hard the entire time. Poor Maru but girllll😂
100% agree with Christine on the meds thing. I experienced those exact symptoms except the fact that it took away my ability to cry. it also severely messed up my gut and I had barely any sex drive. No one ever talks about how it effects so many other things in your body. Not to mention the long term symptoms. I went off without waning myself off and got extremely sick. I wish I would’ve known how important diet, excercise, and proper psychological treatment (w/o meds) was when I was younger. I would’ve never taken them
This is why I never wanted to take them, I was prescribed some paxil for anxiety, but the cons outweigh the pros. I dont want brain zaps or low libido.

with the brain zaps and other withdrawal symptoms i know exactly what meds christine is on 😭 i was on the same one. it took a while for me to get off of them and it was hard at first but it was totally worth it. it was amazing feeling happy emotions after years of feeling numb. good luck christine i hope u also gave a positive experience getting off of them ❤️
Rlly glad Christine talked about the antidepressants...this is a back & forth I've been going through with my therapist for a minute, I just want to explore all of my options first.

Christine talking abt antidepressants and I’ve tried to stay off them and every they’ve tried to put me in them i’ve denied but It still ended me in a position where my life just feels like a straight line. I’m numb to basically a lot how she said she doesn’t have low lows nor does she have high highs and that’s exactly how i am. I’m working thru it and trying to thaw out and undo the numbness but it’s hard when i’ve been numb for so long
