I just got my first jetski yesterday! There’s a couple you forgot: a fire extinguisher and safety kit (at least in usa), but also docking bumpers and rope
Hey bro, you forgot one thing which costs about $300. for a good one the cover, the cover does not come with the jet ski so if you want a good one out the door with tax about $300.
Great video, how about dealer fees(399), freight (950) and preparation charges (989) . I put down a deposit and didn't know about all these other fees ...
Did you ask the salesman to explain the reason for the fees? sometimes, simply asking what the fees are for will easily lead to having the fees waived or reduced.
I got a quote of $12k for a 3up seadoo spark base model with a duo trailer and taxes, ttl, shipping and prep included. I say buy a used one because after one year of purchase the jet ski is out of warranty.
$7,200 msrp + 1,600 for Shipping and preparation + 2,500 for a duo trailer + 8.25% tax + tags & registration. It came out to be a little over $12k American Dollars. Without trailer like $9,500
I would love to know how you got a licence that cheap in Australia Just got mine $550 for the trainer and you have to go there then $221.21 for the licence total $771.21 you left out fuel $160 for safety equipment if going into open waters
Learn to do your own oil change and servicing. It is a big mistake to have it on a dock. They need a good rince with fresh water. Continuous salt exposeure will cause the drive shaft to rapidly rust and degrad potentially causing a leak and sinking!
I am planning to buy jet ski. Thank you, your videos are super informative, thank you very much!!! My advice to you, stop drinking that crap you have in your hand on camera, you will get in trouble healthwise , take care :)
also have to pay for location and assembly. I went to powersports and the only jet ski left was a $12k one. The total ended up being $20k. Any ideas on where I could get one without getting ripped off?
@@TheLanesOfficial Please don't misunderstand me, I didn't mean your video wasn't worth it. Your video was great! It was stuff I needed to know. I meant that after seeing all these costs, I realized it wasn't worth it to me to own a jet ski.
My vx HO 1.8 fills with $42.00 of 91 last me all day long 8 hours straight, I top it off following morning seadoo for some reason every 2 hours needed refills

Customer: I need to be able to stop in an emergency
Salesperson: That's extra sir
😂😂😂 spot on but I suppose it’s good to have the option, saves some $$$

True that, I’ve just been using $10 tarps from Bunnings

Wow I didn’t have any of those fees, damn that’s a big expense 💰
@@TheLanesOfficial that's the USA. Ton of ridiculous add on fees for everything.

@@Andrew-lk6wjI agree, I don’t know more of Americans just say NO. and let their inventory stack up .

Damn that seems expensive, I don’t recall paying all those additional fees in Australia
@@TheLanesOfficial It is. But for a used 2014 seadoo spark 2014/15 with 48 hours costs $3,800. So I am definitely buying a used one instead.
Nice channel. Keep those videos coming👌
Thanks mate, any particular videos you wanna see
Maybe a before/afterride maintance. Like washing, oil checks, fluid checks, how you store the ski over a longer period of time.
@@tommyamundsen9867 We are on the same page i have shot the after ride care video which will be up next Monday.

Got our licenses 4 years ago, the price has jumped up I heard because of covid they can only take half classes.
@@TheLanesOfficial But they take whole dollars
Rego for the ski and trailer, thats filthy
Have you considered throwing a light clear coat of spray gloss 9n your tags to keep the salt water off your plates?
Nope but probs wouldn’t be a bad idea
Audio is king.

I really am trying to get a new sea doo spark, I have saved 1500 dollars, do you have any way I can get it at a discount or a way to save more money
No I don’t sorry, keep going and you will be in the water before you know it

@@TheLanesOfficial at least 4-500 for both then $115 for each to add to your license...

A trailer also needs a hitch to connect to the car.
Huh what
Did you say your insurance is $100 a year?
Yip for the seadoo spark in Australia
The Lanes - Travel & Reviews which insurance company?

The best part of the video is the woman.👍👍👍
Im 16 and i saved up 5k usd is that enough to buy a jetski? Used
Sure is, enjoy 😊
I live in the Northern Territory :D Most of these costs don't apply to me
Nothing Cheap About Jetskiing. Except The Pamphlet You Get From Your Dealer.
How are these hidden costs?
A trailer?
License it?
A life jacket?
Insurance?
Service?
This is a bad joke
Because when you see the nice fancy ad for $7999 they don’t include all these extras
@@TheLanesOfficial but these are as basic as saying you need to buy gas for it
This is for beginners, it seems to have helped some people out there. 😬
Agreed. Any moron should know there's other expenses associated. That's like saying a "hidden" cost of a vehicle is GASOLINE!
Beginners don’t know this
Definitely the woman are an added cost. You have to pay to play.
