The Mexican Sun Stone,or Aztec Sun Stone is a monolith created around 1500,dated by the glyph Moctezuma II,who reigned at that time.It was buried during the Spanish conquest and rediscovered in 1790.Most believe it was used for astrology, chronology, and a sun dial.It consists of a central disc and 3 outer rings. Some think it was used for religious purposes, ceremonial for gladiators, and political,as Tenochtitlan,as he was the center of the world and it's authority
Hi, Ontario. That is my third fav gold coin, after the Buffalo, #1, and the Reverse Proof Libertad, #2. I like both the obverse and reverse of the 20 Pesos coin. The Eagle is on the obverse. *TYU*
@@Ontario100 Hi Ontario and Donald, I'll always remember the day when I walked into a LCS and saw the complete set of six AU/BU 20 peso coins in a Capital plastic holder on sale for spot + 6%. While I inspected the coins they offered them a spot + 5%. I didn't have that kind of money so I said I need to go to a local branch of my bank to get it. Shortly after, I came back and added them to my collection. I already had a beautiful 1959 as well as all the other restrikes but the 10 peso coin, which still alludes me. The 50 peso coin is high up there with my favourite gold coins as well, along with the Canadian 5 and 10 dollar coins from 1912 to 1914. The Buffalo is also my absolute favourite.
I don't have any of those gold coins in my collection but I like them. The reverse design is fun to look at, neat coin. Not a fan of the re-strike coins, so if I ever added a coin like yours- I would want the authentic coin.
I always found it interesting that gold has attracted civilizations from all around the world 🌎 Gold has natural beauty! Very cool stuff, nice 20 peso 👌
Hi CoRn, I remember being shocked when you said you sold your beautiful collection of pre-33 gold. It was the most impressive group I had ever seen. You always managed to find early slabs with under graded coins at great prices, especially with your credit card cash back savings. I hope you manage to get a complete year set of Buffaloes. I'm still missing a few.

I would like to pick one of those up myself. This is a really short series; just six coins.
