- Queen Padmavati is happily married to a Rajput ruler until a tyrant Sultan, Alauddin Khilji, enters their life and calls a war on their kingdom due to his obsession with the queen.
Padmaavat is a 2018 Indian Hindi-language epic period drama film directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Based on the epic poem of the same name by Malik Muhammad Jayasi, it stars Deepika Padukone as Rani Padmavati, a Rajput queen known for her beauty, wife of Maharawal Ratan Singh, played by Shahid Kapoor. Sultan Alauddin Khilji, played by Ranveer Singh, hears of her beauty and attacks her kingdom to claim her. Aditi Rao Hydari, Jim Sarbh, Raza Murad, and Anupriya Goenka featured in supporting roles.

@@rationalman.3334 for you. It is historically accurate. Narasimha Deva I attacked the Mamluks so heavily that they lost a great deal of their armies. Bakhtiyar Khalji was comprehensively defeated by Anangabhima Deva III before that. See the map of Alauddin Khalji's territory and then you will know. Just because they converted your forefathers doesn't mean that they succeeded everywhere. Muslims couldn't touch Odisha until 1568. Learn some real history.
