Guru Rinpoche was historically believed that he visited Tibet during the 8AD on invitation from Emperor Trisong Detsen following the reccomendation of Shantharakshit who was in Tibet to teach Buddhism. The duo built Samye monastery and first 7 monks were initiated. So that birth of Gueu Rinpoche in 5BC is 1200 years difference.
