The section where he discussed the cyclical nature of political conflicts, regardless of one’s stance on them, was particularly impactful. The notion that even our own government is impermanent and subject to constant change resonates deeply. Which side of this transformation would you like to be associated with? The persuasive nature of this messaging is evident in its practical applications. I extend my sincere gratitude for your invaluable teachings. Namaste
Dear friend, that was published on the Deer Park Monastery TH-cam channel. This talk has also been added to the Plum Village App, and we published it on our own TH-cam channel too. We hope this clarifies the situation :) With gratitude 🙏 plumvillage.app team
That he is pretending is an assumption. He’s been at plum village (ordained in 2003). I wonder how I would talk if my closest relationships for over 20 years were with non native speakers.
@ sorry but an adult doesn’t start speaking like a non-English speaker after 20 years no matter who you are surrounded by. It’s clearly an affectation to sound like the real deal. It feels egotistical and manipulative.
@@Peter-q8y9ddo you know him? Have you tried understanding what he's trying to convey? Have you listened to his talks? Have you been with people of all kinds for 20 years? Do you practice the dharma? How he talks doesn't matter in the slightest. Stop being so judgy and nitpicky. Stop making baseless assumptions.
I have good friends that moved to another part of my country and unknowingly adapted to their dialect after a few years. Heck, I’ve lived on the east coast of Sweden since 2022 and my family on the west coast sometimes say that I’m talking differently now, which definitely isn’t intentional from my part. I think this is extremely natural and I don’t think you stop adapting unconsciously just because you’re an adult. I suspect that’s what you’re noticing in this video
Thank you for creating this environment where people can feel safe.
My bro spreading dharma like boss. Greetings from Indonesia.

Why is he pretending he’s also Vietnamese and speaking English as a second language? Rather than make him sound more authentic it seems contrived.

Isn’t it wonderful just how many ways our human family’s natural adaptations can manifest! ❤💫🌻🌞🙏🦉Thank you Thay Phap Luu
