Worked there in the gift wrap department during Christmas in my senior year - 1958 - beautiful store in a beautiful, safe town. So sad what's happened to San Bernardino.

man it's hard to believe that once upon a time, until sometime in the 1980s, sb was an exciting town. now you go out there and it's depressing as fck.

When I was a kid in the 80's I used to walk to that mall with my friends from 10th Street in Colton. Fun times.

I drove bythe Harris Building today. Last week there was a fire caused by homeless squatters living in the abandoned building. I could see some fire and smoke damage near the upper west side of the building. So sad to see the blight in this once beautiful city. The Central City Mall was demolished last year and the area is encircled by an ungly construction fence. The park a few blocks down 2nd street is now a homeless encampment with garbage and tents covering the dead lawn. Disgusting what my once beautiful state is now.

Sadly, these days are gone forever. Large department stores have become dinosaurs...

I dislike the way the Harris Co building looks now with it's upper floor windows removed. The building now looks closed off, dull and unwelcoming. I hope they or the current owners restore it's façade, put it's windows back the way it was designed at first, magnificent.

I remember in the 80s it was called Harris’ Underground... Located in central city mall which they never should’ve tried to rename by the way that was the beginning of the end. Are used to love that store my sister worked there
