    Excellent work. I like the fact that you repaired the kettle. In many countries people would throw it away and buy a new one.

    Because of your videos, people can save things from going into the garbage. In today's world of limited supplies and increased demands even simple repairs are more valuable than gold. A lot of people in the world in a tough economy will benefit, not only financially, but there is a sense of accomplishment in having made a repair. Thanks for your service!

    Hi Vince , have been an avid follower since the Bronze Age. A little known channel that I also have been following since inception, is Hasseb Electronics. This guy is the epitome of “the internet of everyday use cases… and I will fix it”. Would love for you to give him a plug? Like you, this guy is awesome.

    When u screw it back turn the screw driver backwards so the screws go into their original threads and dont damage the plastic, its a good tip I learned

    • @HaseebElectronics
      @HaseebElectronics  ปีที่แล้ว

      the plastic is already threaded, and if we install screw carefully, it takes its threads. if we install some oversize screw, then it will damage the existing threaded ways, and it will cause to free the screw,
      but original screw with careful installation and not overtightened, it will remain safe

    Can I fix the damaged side ?

    • @HaseebElectronics
      @HaseebElectronics  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      yes it can be fixed, by cleaning & polishing contact points but it will not long life. because when, once the contact points get sparked, these loos their connectivity, which causes to reproduce sparking, heats and poor connection

    Don't you think removing carbon deposit at contact points would have made defective switch work again? To avoid recurrence you have given a fool proof solution 👍

    • @HaseebElectronics
      @HaseebElectronics  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      you are right, it can be done, but when the contact points start to spark, then it keeps continue to spark, even if we clear the deposits.

    Confused: When you say 'open circuit', to me that means there should be no resistance. There's 11.9 Mega Ohms - high resistance?

    • @HaseebElectronics
      @HaseebElectronics  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      you are right. when there is sparked bad connection, with some oxides, carbons, dust, rust or any kind of high resistive material can cause to open circuit or its resistance may reach in Mega ohms. when there is resistance in mega ohms, that means there will no effective current flow in the circuit
