@@Soundphreak modders in other countries are the only reason i still game, budokai tenchaichi 4 mod is a good example of a ps2 game that was revived by the modding community, it seems most of us up north here just dont get the concept of digital rights anymore.
Hopefully we'll get an expanded/full version for the PS2, because it has a lot of cut cars and events. It may be the "worst" version of Prostreet but I love it because it still has the aura of the full game
That's cool, if they managed to put the cut cars and modes and put the 7 Opponents in this version, this version will finally be like the other versions, (along with the PC version due to the mods that will possibly come) and we will possibly have the full ProStreet Experience On The PlayStation 2 without needing a PS3 or an X360. :D
I'm fairly sure that 4 cars limit is a platform limitation AND a game limitation; there's a script for PC version of Underground 2 that allows you to have 5 opponents in non-URL races, and the extra 2 opponents do not have car meshes (and, iirc, they're also duplicates of 2 of 3 perfectly functioning opponents). Combine that with PS2's memory limits in a game that pushes the console's capabilities even stronger and we get a nut that I'm not sure is possible to crack.
Yeah, the fact that FiveM's IRL content modding shut down resulted in him making a mod for another game is completely valid 100% even tho he denies it lol
Sadly, damage physics (like car parts and spoilers coming off from a crash) weren't possible to replicate in this game as both the PS2 version and Wii version use the Most Wanted/Carbon engine
you can't run this on a real ps2 because the way that the game files work, or because the way the .iso work? because when modding for gran turismo on ps2 you need to build the iso with the files in the same order of the original game so it works on the ps2, do you think that this may be the problem?
Awesome. Now I have a place to follow these projects that I've always been curious about outside of the PC. Are you handling all this alone or do you have contacts?
Verm here speaking: I'm doing this alone, actually. The lack of tools just make it difficult overall, and if I were to have anyone in this project, it would result in toxicity overall. We are still figuring out the kinks to make the PS2 games moddable, or at least, be imported to an ISO without any problems.
@@Soundphreak yo, if you need help, me and my modding crew wants to support, we have made some tests before, and i got a particular trouble: i'm making a huge brazillian car modpack for mw, and here in brazil most of people still have the ps2 as their main console, and they came for every places asking if my cars work on the ps2 version... do you have discord?

well, this is the beginning of PS2's NFS modding
WE IN INDONESIA WITH THIS ONE 🗣🔥💯
So is this how Ps2 NFS mods start? Are we going to see MixMods-like stuff in the future? Glorious

tenkaichi 3 is a W
@@Soundphreak literally my childhood dream game lmao, im still young so id say it came right at the perfect time in my life!
Even though Pro Street on PS2 is just a downgraded port with cut content the graphics are still surprisingly good for the console.
This is awesome, I love the ps2 versions of need for speed games, they have this peaceful fun low quality vibe to them
Hopefully we'll get an expanded/full version for the PS2, because it has a lot of cut cars and events.

VltEd 1.1 and 2,1 works (for now) until someone makes compatible tools for PS2 modding
The motion blur on this ver is look realistic than pc
was physical car damage ever found in ps2 files? would be interesting to see if they even considered it for ps2
Nope, tried to port them over and they do not work :(
I'm grateful that you're putting in the effort to create mods for our beloved PS2. I'm Brazilian and I only have a PlayStation 2 to play with. 😢
This was going to be available on Wii till I found out VltEd isn't compatible
My childhood has returned ❤
I am not your childhood, soz
in theory... someone could port the pepega mod to the ps2 edition
if cars were possible, yes

7 opponents, still figuring it out! We might be able to do 5 max instead of 3

I hope you figure out a way to port all the dlc cars and the collectors edition cars to the ps2 and make a iso so eventually we can play this on ps2
The chances are low, but we'll see if we can add fields to the PS2 game
Hopefully, we can use this to port some sounds from the PC version which has many sounds in general
Yeah, by lowering the Hertz rate, we might be able to port over the sounds
Man i hope the tools really imporve over time
Since i perfer ps2 version just for the split screen functionality
interesting.
