    Hi Claire, I’ve followed and listen to all your videos, and I would like to say, after listening to this and asking the “killer question 😂” I got the job as a community nurse, so a big thank you.
    Now the pressure is on to qualify, in September!

    I watched your video a day before my 2 community nurses interviews. Got an offer for both!!! Thank you for your tips. I asked on one of them what they would say to a ward nurse about their job and skills because there's the stereotype that community nurses have no skills!
    I'm 2 months from qualifying!

    Congratulations Clare!! I'm hoping to go into community when I qualify as I absolutely loved my 2.1 placement!! I watched your other vid and cried with you, it's taken me 10 years also so I know how incredibly emotional has been.     I have my community nurse interview on Monday! I qualified in 2017 but since then I have extended my family. But Monday is my step back into the world I love, so I’m busy preparing! When I spoke to them before applying them seemed like they could offer me a lot of support in the beginning which is a huge relief! I am excited 😁

      @@ClaireCarmichael I had my interview this morning and got a call this afternoon to say I got the job!!!! They said I interviewed really well and they wouldn’t be able to tell that I hadn’t nursed since 2017! So that was a lovely complement 😁😁😁

Have you any recommendations for books/websites that are specifically for community nursing and also, is there anything you would suggest buying which would be of use and be helpful such as a bag, stationary, nurse accessories?     Hi Claire. Thanks for the interview guidance. I have been qualified for just over a year now and have decided I want to work in the community. I loved my community placement during my practice. I have been working in an A&E department, so I hope I have what they want for the job. My interview is next week. How are you getting o in your community job?

    Hi Claire. Thank you so much for making this video. I'm a final year student nurse and I've just got an interview for a community nursing job. It's the place where I'm currently on placement and I love it! I'm not sure whether the fact that they know me from my placement is a good or bad thing (but I guess it can't be too bad as they offered me the interview!). This video has given me some really useful things to think about and will help me so much to feel more prepared. I hope you still love community nursing, From a fellow Claire :)

    People working in the community, how was it? Did you work on the ward first? Do you think that is essential??

      No I don’t think working on a ward is essential because it’s a completely different set of skills you’re using :) you’ll learn on the job and be well supported in community 🥰 x

      marla No I didn’t have this. But some trusts have them :) it’s better to check with each trust you work for because everyone does different things lol! X

    Hi i am going to community RN job and i need to know what they can ask about palliative care and IV s or anything else i am really nervous i am new grade nurse and don't have any experience

      They will train on you IV and palliative care don't worry honestly. Just let them know what skills you do have, and any experience you have / or seen these things being done :) x

      @@ClaireCarmichael I a patient who had autism ocd I my Community nurse learning disabilities service kept lies to me no give right support help or treatment . An my learning disability nurse she no helpful she do care about me understands my autism ocd did not provide me right support care treatment. Birmingham community nhs was service an nurse rud and management team an manager. And I do not want to complain because it goes no way you never resolve this you they failed me again

      @@ClaireCarmichael hi 👋 there's no point I was raising concerns making complaint against them but they don't care they too much control I'm making the decisions about my care plan and the wrong decisions they make does causing me more mental problems the managers a bullies make decision without me

      @@samf1164 unless you lack capacity to make decisions, they legally can’t make a decision for you 😅😅 so I would question it. Please keep going though! Don’t give up with it :(
