their performances in the '70s were so much better than after they became commercialized in the 80s 90s and so on. I love them I've seen them many times in concert in the 70s this song should be the American national anthem.
Thank you for remembering Gary, he was a good man, I didn't know him well, I met him when I was younger, my cousin went to high school with him ,he grew up down the street from my house, my cousin used to play guitar with Gary way before REO, this is back when they were both sophomores in high school, I was only 8 or9 , but yeah I met him. Awesome guy, great guitar player!miss him.
Gary Richrath was one of the best guitarists I ever had the privilege of seeing live and having him sweat down on us from the stage. A special talent that is truly missed.
Dave has been doing a great job for well over 30 years. Gary, as great as he was, couldn’t overcome his addiction issues, and the complications from all of those problems he had is what ultimately killed him. It’s not fair or right to put Dave down especially when he’s as good of a guitar player as Gary ever was.
I loved seeing this band in the early 70's at the Red Lion and other venues in Champaign, IL

Typical Kevin story before a song.
???? He is paying Tribute to Gary Richrath in The birthplace of REO in their first show in Champaign after Gary died
Good tune but about a third of the actual tempo of the original
Kinda wrecked it for me.
P.S. Back then beer was 35 cents a glass and a pitcher was $1.50 LOL
Dave Amato is good but not as good as Gary Richrath was.......
