We discuss the BearPaw BlackFoot longbow and discuss where it sits in the market. We shoot the bow from close up and talk about the shock of the bow, and the feel of it. www.archerysho...
Great review Steve! Thoroughly enjoyed it! I'm surprised at that price point it doesn't come with a string. My Ragim Black Hawk one piece recurve that retails for about $660 actually came with two. One dacron and one dacron Flemish twist. Sad thing is, I hate dacron and so bought a fast flight Flemish twist. Such a brilliant bow for the money!
True words Steven! Most trad guys i know care more for the colours if their fletching then a property spined arrow. Next thing most shooters don't care of is nock fit. And this is crucial for safety and tuning.
I wonder if this "delivered without string" is an Australian thing. 🤔 When I ordered my Blackfoot back in 2019 it came with a string. Flemish twist to be precise. Just had to replace it because the center serving got too loose over time, and I have no replacement serving. 😅 And the bow did cost me 198 Euros in Germany, directly from Bearpaw. Since then the price has skyrocketed. 🤔
I know but some of the Bodnik models are what some Bearpaw bows are based off. The Slick Stick Recurve/Longbow and a few other models. In USA you have to get what 3 Rivers the main dealer of Bearpaw bows sells as the site will not sell outside of Germany/Austria but with Bodnik the line is sold to the USA via PayPal.
@@caseysmith544 The biggest difference between a BearPaw Stick and Bodnik Stick (Slick, Quick, etc.) is that Bodnik bows have a much longer warranty (30 years). On the other hand... IF you don't notice the difference and the Bearpaw will last you 15 instead of the 30 years warranted by Bodnik that's fine by me... The Price difference makes up for that.
Glad you're recovering well after your surgery Steve. ❤
Love your honesty, Steven... Never stop!!
Great to hear that you are still making progress from your surgery.
Cheers!!
Glad to see you doing video you look a lot healthier. Thanks for sharing I'm a traditional bowhunter like my recurves

Great review Steven yet again, I've always thought of trying barebow. 👍 🏹

I have this bow. It's really well made, draws smooth. Great bow for the wallet friendly price. I shoot this bow more than my custom made bows

Steve, cross over to the dark side and use a tab. It will protect your fingers and probably a cleaner release.
Incorrect Bearpaw is no longer owned by Henry Bodnik. Bearpaw do not make their bows in Europe. Bodnik bows is a separate entity .

That wouldn't pass as a longbow in the UK, not even close. Isnt it a flatbow?
