I did forget to mention their roles in the Battle Story: Rockman.EXE manga. It’s fairly similar to the games, though the original WWW members stay with WWW, and have a larger battle against all of Lan’s friends and their Navis. But Match & FireMan don’t really do a whole lot in the manga.
It really rubs me off the wrong way that, in the continuity of the games. Mr. Match CONSTANTLY changes between being a villain and a neutral/heroic character! At the very least, I am grateful that in the continuities of the anime and the manga. His role is FAR more consistent. As he does stay on one side permanently. (From villain to neutral to heroic in the anime, and permanently a villain in the manga continuity I believe.) I also REALLY appreciate on how the anime and manga actually bother to give in-universe explanations behind why Heatman and Flameman respectively. Are on Mr. Match's side. Also, in my opinion. The Zoanoroids from the Beast/Battle Network 6 season of the anime are one of the coolest ideas that I wish was a thing in the games. The fact that each of those navis has their own Beast Out form like Megaman is really goddamn cool! At the same time, it was really odd how the anime had Zoanoroid counterparts for Navis that never had normal selves shown on-screen. The other 2 I can think of outside of Flameman are Gateman and Punk. One last comment I have is regarding the unnamed Hot Dog lady. And that is... WHY WAS SHE NOT IN THE ANIME CONTINUITY!? Considering how Mr. Match doesnt constantly flip flop between sides on that continuity would have made a lot of sense! But she doesnt even exist there! That would have been such a good opportunity to actually give her a NAME!!!
Would’ve been nice filler too End Mr. Match’s arc with him hooking up with her He was already a curry delivery man once, he could become a hot dog delivery man Have it all come full circle

Fun Fact: Mr Match in the anime has a Sco’ish accent

@@penguincjp Yeah, their romance subplot would have been FAR better suited in the anime. And of course, not leave her nameless. Which was really lame.
@@kuraux56s59 My What If team decided to name her Amber
Not sure if she’ll be relevant to a What If later down the road or not tho
@@penguincjp Even if her role isnt that major, I at least appreciate that she isn't nameless there.
So what was the reason Match constantly switched Navis?
It's FlamMan fix it.
