What strikes me most about these Playboy Mansion clips is how receptive, intelligent and engaged the playmates are as an audience; sophisticated even. Here especially, with a singer who is "out of style" look at how still, rapt in attention and respect for authentic talent they are. It's a tribute to the overwhelming abilities of Sarah Vaughan and to this audience of young people.
As much as I love Sarah Vaughan, I won't watch this because of Hugh Hefner and his latest girlfriend being there...and all the other disgusting couples. Period.
