Sarah Lois Vaughan “The Divine One” (1924-1990)

Sarah Vaughan | Full Vocal Range
มุมมอง 1.3K4 หลายเดือนก่อน
The full vocal range of Sarah Lois Vaughan, one of the greatest voices in history. I decided to revise my past vocal range videos using a variety of new clips & old clips and just make one long video as opposed to separating each part by register. You know I had to do something special for Sarah’s upcoming 100th birthday! I have one more long overdue video that will be uploaded on her birthday ...

Sarah, who is so sassy, and Ella, who is so jazzy, are the two best vocalists who ever lived.
Push on this comparison. It simply depends on what mood I'm in. Some nights you want steak and other nights you want lamb.
Ella Ella Ella!!
OFF THE SCALE. Pure Genius!!!❤
🤤
One of a kind
If you take her highest note in this piece and compare it to the lowest note, there'll probably be octaves in between. Its the sheer range of her voice that is so spectacular. That and many other features that I couldn't possibly enumerate on a platform like this. The one and only Sassy Vaughan!
There is no one like the "Divine One", ever!
I didn’t grow up in a home that housed any of her albums, yet I’ve always known who she was and recognized her voice. How? I’ll never know, but I do know that I’ve never heard anything quite like this arrangement of this song which is pure 🔥🔥🔥!!!!
"The Divine One".....truly one of a kind!!!!❤
Best version ever!!
Im am , & have been in awe of both singers from my teenage years. Then when I started extensively collecring their CD's, I found Sarah's repotoire more captivating. However, just lately, I've been mesmerized by the extensive musical renditions of Lena Horne. But the bottom line, - they all are my ladies of song, including, Dina Washington. Now run & tell that!
Incomparable artist! Those like her come once in a generation or two.
Troppo , troppo tutto!
I love her ❤
I love her.
love the song love Sassy ❤❤❤❤
There may be plenty of competition, but nobody ever sang better than Sarah Vaughn. This is spine tingling.
They are my two favorite singers and it is hard to say one is better, it's like asking which child is your favorite!
Magnifique ❤❤❤❤
The sweetest sound I ever heard is The Divine One's. I adore her. Thank you for this live recording gem. ❤❤
Great Diva of the Jazz
Thank you Universe for bestowing the gift of the Divine One upon us so we can enjoy her for eternity. ❤❤❤❤❤🎶🎶🎶🎶👩🏿🎤👩🏿🎤🎙️
I wish I could have met her, seen her perform in person.
One of these mornings You're goin' to rise up singing Then you'll spread your wings And you'll take the sky But till that morning There's a nothin' can harm you With daddy and mammy standin' by Sorry, but all I can think is that that's another way of saying "You're eventually going to die. But don't worry about that now.". Hopefully someone told the baby that daddy and mammy are going to take the sky first. Although, since this was 1949, I'm pretty sure all three (at least daddy and mammy) are pretty close to taking the sky, if they haven't already.
Right there with Ella
Right among the greatest. Argubly the best range and control of all jazz and standards vocalists imo. All had special qualities they brought to the table.
Love you Ella but the Divine one is mine
Ella for me. Sarah always seems to be “putting on a display” rather than singing the song - I find the meaning of the song gets lost. Ella had all the talent and technique but she got out of the way of the song and only used technique to tell the story. Ella =🥇
One of Hugh Hefners late jazz nights
Sarah has a better head voice...
It depends on the song...some Ella wins, some Sarah wins.
Wow. Just wow.😍😍😍
Song at 13:33
Bouth great Ella scat the best sarah voice more long sustain!!!
🎧💛
Sarah Vaughan - a National Treasure❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
She knew she nailed it!
_My first memory of music was listening to Sarah Vaughan on an old family vinyl player. I discovered that I can sing a little while trying to sing along with Sarah Vaughan. Sarah Vaughan is music. Was and still is._
What class beauty talent all in one, miss her.
私も歌ったが、彼女の様に素敵に歌えない
1- Why does this only have 10k views (Im sure im majority too) 2- This is one of favorite songs and its hard to pick a favorite but Sarah brings a different feeling to the song, love how she puts emphasis on the “I’m going your way” 3- I would have done anything to have heard this live 😭
How her interruption of this song is right on. It makes you feel the lyrics. Her ability is shown on everything she does, but the concert that validates her ability the most is THE POEMS OF POPE JOHN II.
Ella's low voice is terrible😖Especially E2😓
The interviewer looks fake with her smile
I dare to say she is the greatest vocalist of all time. Well, at least, to me.
Two absolute Legends of music! This is Real talent and professionalism on a grand scale. They are both Jazz, Music, and Vocal Icons. Ella is my absolute favorite singer and i also love and Have a huge amount of respect and admiration for Sara “Sassy” Vaughn! 2 💎💎
Sarah is the GREATEST!!! ❤
Lovely Lady and Incredible vocalist! These interviews are rare and wonderful. Thank you Sassy.
Sarah all day! The range, the nuance, the phrasing control, the emotion -- ALL DIVINE!
