This was an awesome Analysis, Dr. Metalhead! There is so much to glean here- the rich imagery, the spiritual path, the way you see the connections and allegories with history! And how this all ties in with Yngvar's own path.
Wardruna's lyrics are so rich with age-old concepts of wisdom, clarity, and the power of ambition- all fitting for Yngvar!

Thank you so much, I'm glad you liked my analysis! I'll discuss more Wardruna songs, they're so atmospheric and rich and quite philosophical. I associate certain songs with characters of mine and scenes in my stories, so they've provided a great deal of inspiration for me over time.

@@dr.metalhead5452 Great idea! Is there a song that inspired you for Eyolf?

@@fortunusmedia Great question! When I imagine him working on his potions and casting his spells while he's alone and honest (no mask, no show), I associate "Vindavla" with him. I listened to this song many times while writing the ritual scenes and the last chapter.

Very interesting. This song is so full of pictures and wisdom, with music that emphasising all this.
Thanks for letting me take part of this "journey/raido".

Loved your comments. Even though I understood the lyrics (I'm norwegian), your analysis made the Wardruna experience more meaningful, somehow. Subscribed.

YESSS!!! Finally the real reaction and analysis of Norse mythology and runes, spirituality in Wardruna’s music and lyrics that I have been searching and longing for!!!! Thank you!!!!
Hmmm, you remind me very much of another Norse myth and spirituality expert, “Lady of the Labyrinth”. Hmmmmn. Same type of feel. If you don’t know each other, you should. She is also a writer on Norse history and mythology.

Loved seeing Lucky Wolf, the ship, the figurines, and my books (“The Book of Joel” and “Finding Sam”)! Great new setup!
I love how you introduced the band, their themes, and how you tied it in to history.
It was fascinating to learn more about the runes and how you showed the video as well!
It’s particularly relevant for Yngvar since he goes through many journeys in his life, both literally and spiritually.
Thanks for the shoutout for our podcast!

Thank you for the great comment! I'm very glad you enjoyed the video. Indeed, I do associate it with Yngvar as well. Wardruna is one of the bands that inspired me most while working on Lucky Wolf, I'd play their songs on repeat for hours while writing. It was great to make an analysis of one of my favourite songs from them!
