    This is so important for newcomers to learn. Especially if they are still working on their English/French. Excellent knowledge.

    I am blessed with a drive to accomplish things. I am task oriented so I pursued construction and have a successful career in Carpentry. :D I love nothing more then to take on a project and see it completed. I was the kind of kid that liked to build cabins in the woods and forts in the snow. I always loved Leggo blocks. I should have known I would become a Carpenter but I didn't. It sort of happened on its own.
    I like getting paid weekly. Many Construction companies pay weekly in Newfoundland. When my brother was in College, he used to get paid once a month in Alberta! And got paid in arrears so he had to work 2 months before he got paid for the first month!
    If you work construction in Canada, You are often laid off in the winter months. If this is the case, It is a good idea to get your employer to take out some extra tax money, otherwise, at the end of the year you may have to "pay in" during income tax time if you couldn't find other employment and had to use employment insurance while you were unemployed.
    My first job I got paid either 5.25 or 5.75 per hour. Which was minimum wage at the time. (2001ish)

    Can we please make a video about the labor's rights regarding vacations and sick leaves? are they paid? am I susceptible to being let go if I'm sick for a couple of weeks for example?
    Thanks a lot ladies

    question on cash deposits - If i make cash deposit monthly of 2-3k and it shall be 24k-36k annually ; does it need to be included in our income for tax purpose ?

    • @MakeThatChange
      @MakeThatChange  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      it depends on where these deposits are coming from. if you are saving money from your salary - there's no tax to pay, because you've alrady paid income tax.
      On the flip side, if you are actively trading, or gaining interest income, you may have to pay tax. To combat that, you can always make sure to deposit money into TFSA or RRSP, which are tax-free saving accounts.
      Does this help?

      Thanks let's say - I am getting this cash from someone or got it arranged , and I don't want to pay tax on it - so then ?

    Getting your pay stubs through this process on this video is the good choice. I got recommendations on social platforms about veliscyberclinic tho, which is how I got my pay stub

      It all depends on which service your company is using for paystubs!
