    I taught myself by way of the alphabet . I started on A and ended on A . Memorized where they were and noticed the vert. boxes built around those notes . I believe it's called Aolian minor .

      Yes, Aeolin is your natural minor scale and is relative to its major key i.e G major = E minor, C Major =.A minor, which is what you have discovered. Great work and very useful.

    I learnt it by copying Angus Young solos he uses it all the time
    i didn't even realize that i knew it or that is what it was called until someone
    pointed it out to me.

      Yes, Angus is a great example! I seem to remember "its a long way to the top" has some tasty Dorian licks in amongst many others.
