The NBA doesn't allow 2k to make an NBA video game that promotes uncondoned violence/fighting. Same reason why Madden stopped making it possible to for players to be injured due to concussions anymore because the NFL doesn't want their games having concussed players. Instead, I believe the closest type of injury to a concussion a Madden player can receive is technically called "Head injury" or something like that. (I could be wrong about the last part, they might not even have any type of head injuries in their games anymore i havent played Madden in years)

One is the story and NBA. The other mode would focus on the neighborhood or city as they have it now on next gen. They should also add incentives to play the NBA like if you win a finals you get a boost to your attributes or if you make it to the hall of fame you gain a permanent boost to your stats. Adding in more choices to allow your player to stand out would really make it dope. Like if you constantly choose to be a dick you get a bad reputation like a Jason Kidd or Bill Laimbeer. Sponsors won’t be willing to pick you up and not to mention we should get more VC for gaining sponsors I mean the amount of VC you get from a sponsor isn’t even enough to really do anything.
