    Love the look of them. I had the red Stockwells when they came out. Just getting back into skating and couldn't find any in the UK unfortunately.

      Cabu I’ve always liked the way they looked too. Like, these skates were made to grind. Unfortunately, after riding them, they don’t feel as good as the originals IMO. Wow, and they take so long to put on.

    What do you think of the Kizer Fluid 4s that come stock? I kind of want to grab some Kizer type X to go for a more authentic Xsjado feel.

      Michael Cueto They aren’t my first choice for anti-rocker frames. I had hardware issues with my last set. The Type X would give you that authentic look and feel. I had a lot of fun on my Mook frames but freestyle frames aren’t popular anymore. Nowadays we have lots of options for frames.

    have the feeling that the objective is lost, originally the design was thought so u could use it with your any of your shoes and be more comfortable, now the liner is like a snowboard boot, and being walkable doesnt mean i'd use them as anyu of my shoes, dunno if im making my point here, but thats my problem with these. dunno the point of this skate.

      You're right, they lost me with this skate now. I liked the original 1.0, I think Latimer had it right from the beginning. It doesn't feel as smooth anymore and less synergy between all the parts. My biggest gripe now is the front toe strap loops that are built into the soul frame. Those things got bent and worn down on day 1.

      @picolitax That's the biggest misconception about Xsjados. You couldn't just step into them with any old shoes and go. I skated Xsjados for 4-5 years and I never ever used anything other than Xsjado shoes. Why? Because they were designed for the skate. You couldn't buy a "street shoe" that fit the skates as good as Xsjado shoes. They had super thin soles, and they had a little tab at the back that stopped them from lifting up in the cuffs. But most importantly, they simply fit the skate and the cuff area perfectly. You could buy shoes that fit okay, but again nothing was as good as the Xsjado shoes. Also, while Xsjado footwraps were "just" shoes, if you used them as actual day to day shoes the soles would wear down in no time because they were so thin (which was a good thing when you used them in the skates). I bought Xsjado shoes before I bought Xsjado skates, and used them as my day to day shoes. I've worn an actual hole in both heels. 😄
      Personally I didn't skate Xsjados because I wanted a skate where I could step into the skate with my shoes. I skated them because they were super comfortable, and the fit was really customizable. To me, the point of the skate is the same as any other softboot: comfort, and good fit. For all I care, they could integrate the liner into the shell, and end up with a K2 (actually i'd be happy if they did that, considering K2 doesn't make softboots anymore). But it seems like no one cares about softboots. 😀

      Boni Hollóssy Agreed. When Adidas owned Salomon you can tell that the first footwraps took a cue from Adidas shoes like Samba. The footwraps were made specifically for the Xsjado and that was one of the best parts of the skate cause everything just worked together.

    So the newer shadows have 3 holes where the buckle meets the boot. Suggesting it’s adjustable. Question is how do you adjust it? I took off the screw and the buckle but that back piece it screws into is not coming out.

    • @THEMUDVILLEPROJECT
      @THEMUDVILLEPROJECT  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Albert Pangilinan You must have the one with the two piece cuff? I don’t know what it looks like but does it just pop off?

    • @AB-lx8cf
      @AB-lx8cf 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      THE MUDVILLE PROJECT so it’s a bit odd. The screw comes off and so does the strap and buckle. There is a set screw that seems to be stuck in there and won’t cone out. Not sure how to remove it to adjust it.

    Hey! :D is it comfortaible?

    • @THEMUDVILLEPROJECT
      @THEMUDVILLEPROJECT  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Márkó Kis yeah the whole skate is comfortable. That’s due to a really well built MyFit liner. It fits the skeleton well. It supports the foot well cause it’s a bit rigid and is flexible where it needs to be like at the v-cut.
