I caught you using the term 'rock bottom' in your video-essay and then it suddenly dawned on me that TSS is the spiritual son of Robert Wyatt's (more than) excellent and seminal album Rock Bottom (1974). Maybe I'm just making a fool of myself. This is not only the greatest Grandaddy album, it's one of the greatest albums ever.

It's bizarre,compelling and frankly unbelievable in how progressive it sounds for the time it was made.
