You're camping, no need to be fancy, Fancy people don't camp LOL. I am new here but I like your videos! I really like the little things you did, the little things make all the difference. You might have sold me on this, I have been looking for one with a sleeper on the inside because I plan on doing some Northern Canada Winter trips. Not to many negatives with this thing.
@@OverlandingArmyVeteran lol I hear you! This is normally my base camp and I’ll head into the mountains with camp on my back. I’d definitely be staying in it if I was in northern Canada though! Thanks for watching!
Dude you are killing me. Just picked up the 2025 survivor model and all the upgrades you did is what gonna do! Hit me up with links to what you have done. Best upgrade I’ve done is instant water heater. My old van doesn’t have that. But you can pop off the cold water connection and hook it to the heater.
Have you taken this off-road? I am looking at the version of this one with the bathroom to full time out of, but most of my local boon-docking sites are lifted 4x4 access only.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the ROG. I'm looking at purchasing a 12RK within a month. The one the RV dealer has onsite has the torsion axle, so they are ordering /installing the Overlanding package (Timbren axle, Articulating hitch). I also want to upgrade the wheels/tires to be able to use the 33" tires I removed from my Gladiator, so I need the 17" wheels. My Gladiator has a Metalcloak 3.5" lift and is sitting on 37" Tires, so I'm hoping to get the ROG to sit higher to better match the height of the Gladiator. Thanks again for sharing, this gives me an idea of the ground clearance I will have after my upgrades. Are your rims Vision D's? What back spacing are your wheels?
Good morning. Thanks for sharing your video. Just wondering where did you purchase that metal with wind deflector on your stove? My rog is the same as yours with glass cover. For sure that will help during windy days. Thanks again and hoping to see more videos 😊
Did you purchase the Timbren axle from Encore? I know you did a video on swapping it out, but your suspension looks several inches higher than the Rogs with Timbrens that came factory installed. I’ve asked several dealerships but they have no clue. Plus, what wheels did you go with?
@@acudak yeah I ordered the axle from encore. This is the 4” lift option. I know encores putting a lot of none lifted ones on their factory trailers so they still fit in garages. The wheels are allied Daytonas. Thanks for the comment and I hope you consider subscribing.
@@AP-zl2wq I wanted slightly taller and wider tires to fit the look of it lifted. I always change the stock tires out on my rv’s though. Typically they’re not even rated for highway speeds.
4Runner owner here, I looked at the 12ft bunk model and a 14ft model today. Being similar to the Jeep in some ways with a 5k pound towing capacity, do you think it’d struggle with the 14ft one vs the 12?
@@project_poor_runner even the 14ft model is well within in your tow range. I think you’re fine. Especially if you live somewhere where you aren’t pulling long mountain stretches all the time.
I have a. 4Runner. They are not great towing anything. Especially if have oversized tires. Get a tune on it and it will help. The transmission shift points are terrible from the factory. Expect about 10-12mpg at best
@@project_poor_runner i got the yotawerx tune, so much better now as far as drivability. Same 33s , winch / bumper. Gears would be nice but not in budget yet. I pull a 10RK offroad teardrop with it nicely now.
Congrats on 1.02 subscribers 👍

I haven't seen one with the pop out kitchen that's neat

@@frontieroverland4502 I’ve mostly taken it on fire roads and some pretty rutted trails. No “serious” off-roading

That sounds awesome. The timbren suspension is worth it. I’d have to look back at my wheel paperwork. I don’t recall. I did those awhile ago.

I got it from the camping world website. Search dometic 50236 drop in cook top.
Thanks for your help. About the cup holders you installed. What kind of screw did you use, and how long ?
Why’d ya change the rims and tires? Looks or are the stock that bad?
Can you tell me what brand your wheels are?

Cool trailer! Looking to purchase 12bh in a week. What kind of keyless pad did you go with?
Carmtek on Amazon. You’ll love the bunk house
Great review! Why the tire / wheel change? I’m about to purchase a unit and would like ti know the reasoning?

Are these really worth $20K + ?? I just can't see how they get away with the prices they're asking for them.

Encore has great service. Sorry Venture doesn’t.
Encore definitely has great customer service. They help me out when I have questions or if parts are needed. Amy and Rick and awesome work with.
We spent 36 grand on a camp trailer from venture Rv they don’t even answer the phone. Horrible company
