- Fishing for Spring King Salmon off the pier on Lake Michigan.
What you guys are seeing is pretty rare and I can only hope to keep the streak alive next year. Conditions have to be perfect and even then the stars still have to align a bit. We got lucky!

Dude I love the vids. Out of most all the fishing TH-camrs I feel like your content is the most relatable. I've fished the Piers a few times at S.H. and Holl., but never seem to go the right times of the year. Always catch Freshwater Drums and although they put up a good fight, especially the 8+#er's, I want to catch something I can eat. Definitely more Pier Vids with some tips on the best time to go for different species. 🦾🐟
*last catch- dude thats a nice steelhead, nah man that's a coho. Oh wait it's a king, hahah. Always love when everyone thinks they know what type of fish is on the line.

Brooooooo I was walleye fishing the other night and noticed bait fish before dark than bam an explosion from a monster fish happens 20 yards from me ... I was so confused because I had no idea that kings came in during the spring and I've been scratching my head over this for 3 days 😅

My home town piers! I grew up there and unfortunately never got into trout or salmon fishing. Regret it big time now that I don't live there

How far out on that pier/ what depth ish did you guys throw that net? If you can remember . Iv been throwing with little luck to get the aleweye. Any tip on that step specifically would help!
We tried a few on channel side and a few tosses on lake side. If they're there they will be visible just beneath the surface
I hate boats coming in and out of lake Michigan when I'm on the piers fishing. Lost too many rigs for them to come in close as hell.

Great vid. I bring my woman out to north shore gh often, really to relax. Been trying to get into a king or coho on spoons, no luck. Consistency is key i know, considering buying a bait net here soon, Any tips?
Yeah you really want to make sure you’re fishing when the lake flips especially later in the summer. Look for water temps just above/below 50f. You can look up the buoys out of each port and they will give you temp readings
How about a little information on the equipment used kind of lure, line weight, and extra your performing my dream.

I’m pretty sure they were 2/3oz and 3/4oz. I caught the coho on smaller spoon, king on larger. Thanks man
