My hair finally got so thin I could not go out into public without a scarf or a hat. I went out and bought a wig to try. It took me a few weeks to actually wear it. I went to a friend who is a beautician and she helped me. I got short hair wig and my hair line goes down lower than the wig so she cut it. I've been wearing it since Thursday and I have gotten so many compliments. I really like your videos. You have helped me to. Thank you
I agree with you Jill. A year ago when I got my first wig, I was horrified. I thought my wig looked so cute in all of the reviews but I thought it looked horrible on me. I was not used to seeing myself with hair and the color was also different. I started out wearing it around the house. We live out in the country so I would wear it when we would go to the city. At first, I wore it places where nobody would know me. I gradually got used to the style and color. Now I feel very put together when I wear wigs. I have noticed when I wear a wig I also dress nicer and do my makeup and nails. For those who are new, start by wearing your wig around the house and then gradually wear it out. You can do it.
OMG! That hairstyle is SO cute on you! Just a heads up to other wig enthusiasts: I have found TB wigs to be small on my head. I love TB, and feel she offers great wigs for the price, with flattering styles, and I have worn her hair pieces many times in the past. FYI: my head is 22.5 inches, & my hair is thin, fine & short.
You make it look so effortless. I’m expecting my first wig in the mail. I’ve had covid hair loss, and about two thirds of my hair (which was thin to begin with) went down the drain. 😢. My anxiety level is high. Your videos are helping me so much. Thank you very much.
Emma Lee, I have lost most of my already thin hair due to a very serous (12+ hours of surgery), life threatening operation, multiple infections, covid, and all the medicines that accompany these situations, I have lost so much of my hair and REALLY need a wig to feel my best. Thanks for the new series! Soooo valuable for us new/newish. Found out I am a true petite AFTER my first purchase of average size with lots of permatese a retail store. Was the most frustrating 3 months until I purchased one that fit.

I'm having same issue. I've sent five wigs back for one reason or another, but usually too much hair. I am determined to keep the one I just received and intend to keep working with it till it works. Love Jill's videos!
Hi Jill, Everytime I watch your videos I learn. I have been wearing wigs since Jan of this year. I generally don’t like wigs when I first purchase them. I do have to work them and spray makes a huge difference. Putting your makeup on does make them look better. I agree. Thanks again!
Wow! I've watched a whole slew of your videos as I'm trying to decide if/which kind of wig to buy and I'm learning so much. One of my motivations in becoming a wig-wearer is to NOT have to style my hair. I couldn't believe how much of a difference that made on this new wig. When you finally hit that change around the 20 minute mark, I was shocked at how much it made that wig work on you. You're too darn cute and that wig was popping. Thanks for all your info, I'm grateful to learn from you.
Just bought a Tony Brattin wig from QVC Captivating mid length shag. The wig is very cute. I am glad to find this video it gives me more confidence on wearing my wig. I find that the Toni Brattin wigs look so realistic and natural like one's own hair. I got mine in brown blonde and it does look good. I do have a few issues. Like you said just keep wearing it. I bought Toni's sprays cleasing and styling. I need to get a wig stand for it. Very instructional video thank you. Loved both wigs on you.

I just got the Toni Brattin Trendsetter today and I looked in the mirror and was shocked, but I left it on all day and took some selfies. So I just ordered Enticing tonight! OMG what have you done? LOL

Jill, another terrific wig video. You worked magic on the transformation of this wig. She looks wonderful on you. I just received 2 wigs and thought they looked wrong for me. Jill, you are becoming MY trusted source. I have watched your journey and loving the fact that you decided to take us along with you. You have been braver than me in many instances, but I will take your words and experiences along with me when I fully dive in. Also, Patti was one of the very first channels I watched. She was the first person I saw take her wig off and on so that we could see her own journey and transformation. That was invaluable to me. Her spunk, her grit, her caring and positive attitude and the way in which she was able to manipulate and elevate her wigs opened my eyes to how i could still feel pretty and "normal" when my hair decided to make me feel more like an aging man, especially when I could no longer hide my increasingly exposed scalp due to my hair loss. The thought of the two of you in a possible collab is a an exciting notion.

Keep playing with it! ;) Make sure you have your makeup on. Try styling it with a clip...treat it like your hair. Get some hair spray for synthetic wigs (assuming it's synthetic). You got this! ❤
Toni's wigs heat friendly and I take advantage of that. I can smooth what needs to be smoothed out and I can create the fringe I want too. I love my enticing... I have 3 of them!!!
Enticing is so pretty! It's taken me a year and a half to finally graduate to blondes and just today my daughter, for the first time ever, said she likes my TB Impressive in Light Blonde!! She has never complimented any of my wigs. Ever! It gave me such a boost in confidence that now I'm thinking I'll try Enticing in the light blonde. Do you still wear your TB wigs, Jill?

Ordered Impressive after watching your last video. Looks so cute on you. I find I always reach for the easy to wear, no fuss wigs these days. I like the idea of the longer or curly wigs, but just don't have the patience to deal with them. PS love your pretty top, too.
They do take more 'attention' that is for sure...at least from my experience. I find myself also interested in the easy wear styles....and they seem to be getting shorter and shorter! Ha! I'll have a couple more to share soon. ;) (thank you for your compliment on my top!)

Waaay too funny! Because I just received my wig, RW, Editor's Pick Elite. As I put it on and I was saying everything you said at 12.0 mins into this video... I don't like it, its too much hair...just icky! Lol lol. And yeah, made the mistake of not putting on my face, no make up. I scared my dog! So I'm making an appointment with my experience helper hair dresser because the wig is too long for my face and she can shape it better than I. Thanks Jill for this video. Starting to think about going on a wig journey. I am a very young looking 70 years old, 5'2" and 130 pounds. I have almost black, ashy bio hair but I color it a dark mahogany. In your opinion would Raquel Welch's Editor's Pick Elite in deepest ruby be a good "first" wig for me to try? Is the hair "believeable"? So many people have told me to ONLY buy real hair wigs, but they are SO expensive and it scares me to make the investment right off the bat. Opinion please?

Hi Clara, you never completely get rid of the feel of “wearing a hat” but it does dissipate greatly after some time especially if it’s a comfortable cap. Some are better than others. The trade off I’ve found is the sensation is outweighed when you accidentally catch yourself in the mirror and say to yourself, “Damn, my hair looks GOOD”!
Hi Lynn I absolutely love your videos. I know that I saw either yours or patties or one other one what it is when you have the pooff at the back of your head because it’s like an air pocket under the hair there’s no give to the Toni Brattin wig that I purchased. It just has the lace top with a lot of permitees to the very end of the lace and in the back you can’t get it to go down far enough to get it onto your head to maybe get your head to fill out the entire wig. Help???
Are petite sizes available in every wig? That's my problem I need but they don't all come in petite. Any particular brands you could recommend that offer petite sizes?

LISTEN to her you new wig wearers. She will tell you exactly what you need to do. And, do you see the way she looks in wigs? You can look that good too. Just relax and start working on your wig. if you are too nervous, put it away and think about it for a few days. You will find success. My first wig was an Estetica, wigs that have a LOT of hair. But, I worked on it and now, 3 years later, I am so addicted to wigs. Yes, you may need a bit more makeup, not a ton, just a bit more.

Hi I checked QVC UK after I saw your video on the Trendsetter wig. Unfortunately they only appear to offer TB hair extensions and one end of line wig in Black. I think as all other colours had sold out. A real pity as they wigs are a good price before you add on shipping and VAT if you buy from the States.
Tracy Conabeer hi one of the best places to buy a wig in the uk is simply wigs there based in Yorkshire and are online, very friendly and reliable. Check out their website it’s very good and they also have wigs on a sale price I have bought many wigs off them and have always been very pleased with their service.
I know it's so unfair. I am in the UK and went to buy a wig from Godivas Secret Wigs and it was $65/£47 postage and then nearly the same price again in customs taxes so I had to leave it. I did contact their UK consultant which helps as it reduces the cost if you order from her but it still makes it quite expensive. Most of the really great wigs are on American sites and the wigs I've seen on UK site just don't look half as nice. If anyone knows of any UK sites with good selection please tell us. Toni Brattin should set up a Europe based company, she would make a fortune.
I ordered the Toni Brattin Trendsetter last night because of you. It is my first . For some reason when you see the Models on QVC they don't look half as nice as you do in it. I hope when I get it , it looks more like it did on you. My normal hair is ok. Doing this to see if I would look good in a shorter style. Thanks. ❤️
This is so exciting! Keep us posted, and don't get discouraged if you have a hard time making the wig feel secure on your head. There are a very few who have that 'perfectly shaped head' that needs nothing to secure it. You may want to order a wig grip just to be sure you have everything you need for a great first experience. I prefer using It Stays body adhesive in the front area, and a low ponytail in the back (to keep the nape from riding up all day long). Get your own hair as flat as possible so your wig can fit as close to the plain of your head as possible to give you a very realistic look! EEeee! It's a great style...can't wait to hear what you think!

I measured and am petite. I can't even find sizes on the wigs when I am shopping. I got a great Jon Reneau easipart hd topper but the color is off and too shiny/bright in the sun compared to my bio hair. None of the wigs I have gotten fit. I am just in tears. The wig cap pops off, the grip band also slides off. My hair loss is getting worse and I have no options. 😭 I need something affordable I am a mom of 3 on a budget.

Although this is an almost a year old vid I'm hoping you'll see this comment as I have a question. In checking out Pattie's site I noticed there's a wig by the name " Casually Chic " also by Toni Brattin. For the life of me I can't figure out the difference as they both look similar to me. Hi Gloria! Welcome...first of all! ;) Hmm....you know I have never tried Casually Chic so I couldn't say the differences etc... Casually Chic does look perhaps a little shorter and curlier?...Just by looking though, they do look very similar. I wish I could be of better help!

To loosen the wig up or get rid of Box head , I put mine on it’s rack and take a shower , the steam really helps 😁

Also, Patti was one of the very first channels I watched. She was the first person I saw take her wig off and on so that we could see her own journey and transformation. That was invaluable to me. Her spunk, her grit, her caring and positive attitude and the way in which she was able to manipulate and elevate her wigs opened my eyes to how i could still feel pretty and "normal" when my hair decided to make me feel more like an aging man, especially when I could no longer hide my increasingly exposed scalp due to my hair loss. The thought of the two of you in a possible collab is a an exciting notion.

Keep playing with it! ;) Make sure you have your makeup on. Try styling it with a clip...treat it like your hair. Get some hair spray for synthetic wigs (assuming it's synthetic). You got this! ❤
Toni's wigs heat friendly and I take advantage of that. I can smooth what needs to be smoothed out and I can create the fringe I want too. I love my enticing... I have 3 of them!!!
Enticing is so pretty! It's taken me a year and a half to finally graduate to blondes and just today my daughter, for the first time ever, said she likes my TB Impressive in Light Blonde!! She has never complimented any of my wigs. Ever! It gave me such a boost in confidence that now I'm thinking I'll try Enticing in the light blonde. Do you still wear your TB wigs, Jill?

Ordered Impressive after watching your last video. Looks so cute on you. I find I always reach for the easy to wear, no fuss wigs these days. I like the idea of the longer or curly wigs, but just don't have the patience to deal with them.

Waaay too funny! Because I just received my wig, RW, Editor's Pick Elite. As I put it on and I was saying everything you said at 12.0 mins into this video... I don't like it, its too much hair...just icky! Lol lol. And yeah, made the mistake of not putting on my face, no make up. I scared my dog!

Starting to think about going on a wig journey. I am a very young looking 70 years old, 5'2" and 130 pounds. I have almost black, ashy bio hair but I color it a dark mahogany. In your opinion would Raquel Welch's Editor's Pick Elite in deepest ruby be a good "first" wig for me to try? Is the hair "believeable"? So many people have told me to ONLY buy real hair wigs, but they are SO expensive and it scares me to make the investment right off the bat. Opinion please?

Hi Clara, you never completely get rid of the feel of “wearing a hat” but it does dissipate greatly after some time especially if it’s a comfortable cap. Some are better than others. The trade off I’ve found is the sensation is outweighed when you accidentally catch yourself in the mirror and say to yourself, “Damn, my hair looks GOOD”!

Hi Lynn I absolutely love your videos. I know that I saw either yours or patties or one other one what it is when you have the pooff at the back of your head because it’s like an air pocket under the hair there’s no give to the Toni Brattin wig that I purchased. It just has the lace top with a lot of permitees to the very end of the lace and in the back you can’t get it to go down far enough to get it onto your head to maybe get your head to fill out the entire wig. Help???
Just FYI, you actually CAN remove the zig zag part and still return the wig. I’ve done it many times and on more than one brand.

LISTEN to her you new wig wearers. She will tell you exactly what you need to do. And, do you see the way she looks in wigs? You can look that good too. Just relax and start working on your wig. if you are too nervous, put it away and think about it for a few days. You will find success. My first wig was an Estetica, wigs that have a LOT of hair. But, I worked on it and now, 3 years later, I am so addicted to wigs. Yes, you may need a bit more makeup, not a ton, just a bit more.

Hi I checked QVC UK after I saw your video on the Trendsetter wig. Unfortunately they only appear to offer TB hair extensions and one end of line wig in Black. I think as all other colours had sold out. A real pity as they wigs are a good price before you add on shipping and VAT if you buy from the States.

Tracy Conabeer hi one of the best places to buy a wig in the uk is simply wigs there based in Yorkshire and are online, very friendly and reliable. Check out their website it’s very good and they also have wigs on a sale price I have bought many wigs off them and have always been very pleased with their service.
I know it's so unfair. I am in the UK and went to buy a wig from Godivas Secret Wigs and it was $65/£47 postage and then nearly the same price again in customs taxes so I had to leave it. I did contact their UK consultant which helps as it reduces the cost if you order from her but it still makes it quite expensive.
Most of the really great wigs are on American sites and the wigs I've seen on UK site just don't look half as nice.
If anyone knows of any UK sites with good selection please tell us.
Toni Brattin should set up a Europe based company, she would make a fortune.
I ordered the Toni Brattin Trendsetter last night because of you. It is my first . For some reason when you see the Models on QVC they don't look half as nice as you do in it. I hope when I get it , it looks more like it did on you. My normal hair is ok. Doing this to see if I would look good in a shorter style. Thanks. ❤️
This is so exciting! Keep us posted, and don't get discouraged if you have a hard time making the wig feel secure on your head. There are a very few who have that 'perfectly shaped head' that needs nothing to secure it. You may want to order a wig grip just to be sure you have everything you need for a great first experience. I prefer using It Stays body adhesive in the front area, and a low ponytail in the back (to keep the nape from riding up all day long). Get your own hair as flat as possible so your wig can fit as close to the plain of your head as possible to give you a very realistic look! EEeee! It's a great style...can't wait to hear what you think!

I measured and am petite. I can't even find sizes on the wigs when I am shopping. I got a great Jon Reneau easipart hd topper but the color is off and too shiny/bright in the sun compared to my bio hair. None of the wigs I have gotten fit. I am just in tears. The wig cap pops off, the grip band also slides off. My hair loss is getting worse and I have no options. 😭 I need something affordable I am a mom of 3 on a budget.

Hi Gloria! Welcome...first of all! ;) Hmm....you know I have never tried Casually Chic so I couldn't say the differences etc... Casually Chic does look perhaps a little shorter and curlier?...Just by looking though, they do look very similar. I wish I could be of better help!

You definitely need to purchase petite sizes. Also European brands run small too.
